2026: great music. Solid gin & tonics. Decent steak & mushroom pie, mashed potatoes could have used salt. Great service.
2024: Friendly service. Dark & stormy was watered down but my other two cocktails were perfect. Great music.
Ye Olde Orchard is a Monkland Village staple for a reason. It's a classic Irish pub right in the heart of NDG with a great, easygoing vibe. It's always a reliable spot for a fun night out. Went on a Wednesday for trivia & hockey which made it a really lively atmosphere. Sat at the bar & had a burger & fries with a Guinness, & my boyfriend had the fish & chips. Great beer & solid pub food all around.
Service was friendly & welcoming, & it's the kind of place you can tell has lots of regulars. Just an easy, fun spot to hang out. We'll definitely be back 🍔🍻🏒
C'était une experience suprenante (dans le bonne sense). Notre pub lunch était excellent. Il a dépasseé now attentes. Je reviendrai certainement. Merci Old Orchard!
Une expérience authentique d'une agréabilité rafraichissante. Excellents choix au menu. Excellente qualité de la nourriture. Excellente sélection de bières en fut. Un service attentionné, professionnel & avenant - toute l'équipe est souriante. Quel moment de bonheur ! Nous voulons déjà y retourner !
Endroit style pub. Excellent fish & chips, belle portion d'aiglefin bien doré & de frites croustillantes. Service souriant & rapide (midi). Musique décousue (folk, heavy métal…), toilettes à éviter par les claustrophobes 🤪.

First come first served seating basis. The pub has a cozy feel with dim lighting. The service was friendly. They offer all your typical drinks & beer. Their cheeseburgers are always good with a generous portion of fresh French fries.
A classic! Great servers & overall vibe. My dad & I had a kilo of hot wings, French onion soup, & a cheesecake for dessert. We were craving wings & soup & this definitely satisfied the craving, though I've had better French onion soups before -- theirs is okay, just needed a bit more salt & overall seasoning.
The wings & the cheesecake were very satisfying though!

We first went August 5, 2025. The chicken noodle soup had not even a bit of chicken, & the broth was thin. I also had the Irish stew. It made me go to the bathroom for a good part of the next day. Nevertheless, we returned September 2, 2025 to give the place another chance. The fish & chips came with lukewarm french fries. The waiter said he would bring hot fries. He did after a while but in the meantime I had to eat the fish before it also cooled. Although I technically had both fish & chips, the idea is to have them together: The dish isn't called'Fish & EVENTUALLY, Chips'. The waiter should have taken the entire dish back & served a new order, all hot. I thought of asking him to take the whole thing back but I wasn't interested in having an argument. If they could get the fries hot the second time, they certainly could have done it the first time. It's because the kitchen figured they could get away with it. Bad attitude.
