ubered banger & fries. The two sausages were pleasant but not outstanding. the fries were very good. All in all, it was pleasant but I did not get the same sausage fix I got from mici or toulouse or even from a juicy jumbo beef hot dog.
Wife & I stopped in as it was not far from Hotel 10 where we were staying. Needed a quick bite & a couple beers after our trip from the States. It was mid afternoon. We ordered the Guinness poutine with waffle fries. They were excellent, just enough for us to share & tied us over. That with a couple beers each from there selections of drafts was perfect. Bartender, Wyatt was on top of everything & had a conversation with him. Another patron Peter joined in & we all had a good talk about various subjects. Seemed like a hometown bar I had been coming to for years.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Next trip to Montreal, we will be back.
Had the worst experience yesterday. After waiting for over an hour & a half in the cold . When it was about to be our turn I asked nicely to be let in & wait inside cause I was in so much pain from the cold . Our turn were next & simply asked to warm up . The guy at the door said he needed to ask his boss who decided she won't let me in. Which I tried to understand! When it was finally our turn my friends did not have their ID (mind you we're in our 30s). Which can also be understandable as rules are rules, but the way we were denied entry was extremely inhuman & rude. The'manager' & the security were extremely harsh & disrespectful. We kindly asked for an exception was we waited almost 2 hours in freezing cold. If something has happened to me you'd have a lawsuit in your hands. It took me HOURS to warm up & I was feeling extremely dizzy. Again, rules can be rules but the way the staff was rude to us was extremely disrespectful. They were almost happy to kick us out. Not even sorry you had to wait for nothing. AWFUL experience.
TO REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT: the doorway was completely EMPTY & it could not have hurt to have me wait there as an appreciation to a COSTUMER. Who CHOSE to wait to enter. We were next not taking anyone else's place & it couldn't been just couple minutes. Choosing to leave me out was a choice that shows your unprofessionalism. An apology for the horrible attitude I got from your staff would've showed more empathy.
Absolutely terrible experience. We waited 2 hours outside in -15°C just to get in, & once we finally reached the door, they suddenly told us we needed to show the ID & they dont accept the ID on mobile. This is just a pub, not some night club or venue. What made it even worse was the complete lack of basic human decency. My friend was in real pain from standing in the freezing cold for so long, & they refused to let her wait inside, even for a moment. The staff were incredibly disrespectful, dismissive, & unempathetic. Honestly, it ruined our entire night. No one should be treated like that. We re never going back.
I went there with my friends, & was waiting in the line for more than one hour in -20, they were letting people in before us, my friend was freezing we just ask them if she can wait inside, they said no, then when our turn finally came, they didnt let us in because one of us didnt have her physical iD with her, we were all 35+ , it was just disrespectful considering the time we were waiting -20 c , & at no moment they mentioned the ID until it was our turn, so disrespectful
