The generous portions, budget-friendly prices, & authentic flavors make it a standout. Located conveniently, it's a go-to spot for anyone craving Chinese food. Very satisfying after late night drinks.
Got the general Tao delivery, new good Chinese go to in downtown. Spring roll was eh, but free so can't complain. price Is right.
Food is okay for its price, nothing too crazy. I found the Chinese lady who is the server during lunch quite rude & forces you to tip. I think that really put me off. You earn a tip not force your way for one.
I left my tote bag at the restaurant & was able to retrieve it the next day. Thank you :) They have good portions at a reasonable price.
Place is not particularly nice but big portions, low prices, & tasty food make it worth coming back to
Spicy dish does not taste spicy, very western Chinese food. On the good side, Big portions & fair price.
i love this restorant. the prices are so cheap considering the delicious & big portioned food!
The best Chinese restaurant in montreal.
The price is cheap, dishes are big!
Taste is delicious!
it is real good. Chinese beef stew I eat a lot of years. The price is very good
Excellent place to eat~
What I liked:
-Closing very late:
Most of the restaurants in Montreal close around 10 or 11 pm, Wok Cafe is still open until 12am & during the weekends they close at 1 or 2am. For me who sleep very late, that's a nice place to eat when I'm hungry very late at night around midnight. Most of the restaurants are already closed, so Wok Cafe is perfect for closing late.
-The food quantity:
The quantity has larger portions compared to a normal restaurant. I'm very tall (2meters) so I need to eat a lot to get full. Usually the portion offered at a normal restaurant is clearly not enough & I have to order another meal which cost more than 30 bucks for sure. Their portion is bigger, & worth the price (~15 ~20 bucks). When I eat I am not totally full but not that hungry. I would say I'm full at 75% - 80% which is already good to not being starving.
-Friendly staff: Very common, but that's better to eat at a place where the staff is pleasant & friendly than a place where the staff is very unfriendly.
-Noise: I hate eating at very crowded place. I usually go there very late at night so that's perfect. Not that crowded & not that noisy. Very quiet & chill. It may be more dynamic (noisy & crowded) during late afternoon / early evening tho.
-Food quality: I haven't tried other dishes yet. I usually eat that with my friend (check the photos). This one is good if you like to eat something that has taste. I usually take the spicy option which is very tasty.
