White Heron Coffee Griffintown is described as a bright, clean, and minimalist cafe with a calm, modern vibe, where the menu shines with authentic matcha drinks and inventive blends like a mango melona matcha latte, and desserts range from airy strawberry shortcake to delicate pastries; reviewers note friendly staff and a comfortable space that works well for studying or chatting, with the overall experience often seen as a reliable go-to for coffee and cake, although some comments mention occasional service hiccups, pricing that feels high to some, and moments of uneven flavor dialing or limited seating and outlets during peak times.
Great spot. Knowledgeable baristas who are kind & informative. Multi roaster cafe including Hatch & Rogue Wave on bar. Would recommend for folks looking for good filter or espresso, or fun sweet drinks. Prioritize this cafe if you're looking for great specialty coffee :)

Nice chill vibe. Friendly-staff. Baked goods available are so good. Drinks are great! Loved the matcha & madeleines. Great space to meet up with a friend or two over coffee, study & have solo tea. They sell their coffee blends there too & some merch. Would definitely recommend!
Very cool café with a clean, minimal design that creates a calm & modern vibe. I tried the mango melona matcha latte, & the flavor combination was completely new to me, surprisingly refreshing & well-balanced. Definitely a unique experience that stands out from typical café menus. Highly recommended.
I'm really disappointed with my experience at White Heron Café. When I walked in, there were only two customers total (including me). I placed my things on a large table, & another girl was already seated at the other large table. As soon as I went to order, I was immediately asked to move from my table. It made me feel very uncomfortable, especially since the other customer was not asked to move & remained seated.
I didn't say anything at the time because I get anxious in situations like that, but it didn't sit right with me. I would have completely understood if a large group had come in & needed the table, but that wasn't the case.
The matcha was good, but I paid around $7-8 for a very small cup, which felt overpriced. Overall, the experience left me feeling disrespected & disappointed. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
This is my go to cafe in the area, always clean & calm. Great place to work or grab a coffee to go.
The desserts are different from any other cafe out there they go really well with a coffee.
Matcha Sakura was absolutely amazing!
