This is my first night in Montreal & Viva has set the bar for food & service so high! The drinks were delicious, we had martinis. The food was also phenomenal, & both of the gentleman that waited on us were so attentive & pleasant! They have nice vibey music playing, but at a reasonable volume so you can still enjoy conversation & hear one another. I will be recommending this place to any & everyone who asks!!View more

We went for lunch. Nice ambiance. Service was slow. Food was either a hit like the Octopus entrée or plain like the gnocchi. Pizza is cooked in the oven in the restaurant & was very good. The peach Bellini cocktail was more peachy & sweet. Portions are very good & not very pricey. Would I go back? Fantastic Italian restaurant in the Plateau neighborhood. My wife & I went out for a date night after a heavy rain & after we put our son to bed. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. They were very welcoming & spoke English which made it easy as tourists. We got some wine & a burrata appetizer which was fantastic especially with the homemade focaccia. Then my wife got the lasagna & I got the cacio e pepe. Both were amazing with the pasta being homemade. We really enjoyed our meal & were very impressed with the service. Overall it was a great meal.View more

What a hidden gem!! The menu is half Italian, half Portuguese. The prices are very reasonable (check out their menu online) with great specials. I went there planning on having Portuguese food but the special on pasta was too good to pass up. I was blown away by the fresh pasta with mushrooms & truffle paste. It was phenomenal! We had some Portuguese appetizers & some pasta as main. Everything was excellent but the mushroom pasta was outstanding!!! The wine selection is very good & inexpensive. The Aperol spritz was spot on. I have been telling everyone I know about this place & already planning our next visit!View more

We found this restaurant on a trip to Montreal. The interior is beautiful, love the exposed brick wall. We had the buratta, vodka pasta, & seafood spaghetti. You can tell it's homemade pasta. Loved everything about our visit.View more

I went with my wife & one of our daughters last evening. Love the pizza, atmosphere, & service. Staff members all great. Very fair pricing. Fun area of the plateau can be tricky to find parking but this quirk is well worth it. Look forward to going back. Try it if you have not been. Explore a nice part of Montreal.View more

On a whim, I ordered a paella at an Italian restaurant, wanting to try how Italians cook Spanish dishes. The rice was good, but it might have been cooked over time , & the rice absorbed the flavor of bouillon, this was it a bit too salty. I didn't smell the special saffron flavor, which was a bit disappointing. In fact, the menu selection is quite dazzling, making people feel hesitant. The dining space is spacious & quiet.View more
