Don't sleep on this place. I don't go out of my way for much. I only discovered this place by staying at an AirBnB right next door (literally) for 11 days over a year ago. It was convenient so I tried it. It exceeded expectations. The owner/operator is a gem & super fun to chat with when it's quiet & he has time. He's got cool stories for days & he's just a really nice guy who treats employees & customers alike with respect & gratitude.

The food is great. I really have zero complaints. I don't even understand how it can be so good & made so quickly. He doesn't brag about anything or pretend to be something he's not. He lets the product do the talking, & it talks the talk & walks the walk. It's legit. Top-tier poutine & subs. Just ALWAYS on point. I'm a discerning critical person from NYC who's experienced everything from hole in the wall places in the Bronx to 3-star Michelin & Quebec's only 2-star Michelin. I know food. Takes a lot to impress me. Every place claims to be king of this, king of that, award of this, award of that. This place just quietly destroys it's competition in my opinion. Multiple visits over several years & it's never let me down.

I've eaten at so many places that are on'best poutine' lists & claim to be so good, only to be disappointed because this place claims none of that & eclipses them so easily, at a better price (you get a LOT for your money, trust!) & just simpler & quicker in interaction. I really have NO complaint & I detour to stop off there even if I'm not really hungry so I can nibble a bit, chat with him, & take something home for later. & I don't do that for many places at all. It's worth it.

Let's be real here. It's a submarine joint first & foremost. It's not fancy. This isn't date-night material for ambiance. But it can be that too, if you interact with the owner & it's quiet. My gf & I love it & have since we first tried it simply because it was next door to us. The ambiance is because of the personality of the place & who runs it. The food is why I go back & will always do so when I'm in in Quebec.

Ideally, go when he's had his mangos (he's happier -- haha mate, you're always nice, just playing with our last talk!) & definitely get some mango ice cream for dessert!

Top-notch. 100% recommend.

Edit: It's also worth noting that he helps out people in need & doesn't judge. I noticed that on my own with his interactions with other customers, he never said it. Again, he lets his actions & his product do the talking.

Oh, & use his mom's sauce on the sub. It kicks!

Keep on keepin' on my man, mad respect for you & I wish I lived close by. I'll be there every single time I'm back in the area guaranteed. Cheers!

Je n'exagère même pas en disant que ce restaurant a littéralement changé ma vie. Dès que j'ai franchi la porte, j'ai été accueilli comme un membre de la famille. Le service est tout simplement exceptionnel, chaleureux, attentionné & d'un professionnalisme rare.

La nourriture… je manque de mots. Chaque bouchée était une explosion de saveurs. Tout était parfaitement cuisiné, les ingrédients étaient d'une fraîcheur incroyable & chaque plat semblait préparé avec une passion qu'on ne retrouve presque plus aujourd'hui. Honnêtement, c'est le meilleur repas que j'ai mangé de toute ma vie.

J'étais passé par une journée extrêmement difficile, & ce restaurant m'a redonné le sourire. Pendant quelques heures, tous mes soucis ont disparu. Ce n'était pas seulement un repas, c'était une véritable expérience qui m'a remonté le moral comme jamais. Si quelqu'un me demandait quel est le meilleur restaurant au monde, je répondrais celui-ci sans hésiter une seule seconde.

Merci infiniment à toute l'équipe pour ce moment inoubliable. Vous avez gagné un client à vie. Si je pouvais donner 100 étoiles au lieu de 5, je le ferais sans réfléchir. Absolument parfait.

Merci, Gigi, de faire de Vincent Sous Marin un établissement aussi exceptionnel. Ta gentillesse & ta générosité transparaissent dans tout ce que tu fais, & tes clients t'adorent pour ça !

Gigi a préparé spécialement pour moi une option santé qui ne figurait même pas au menu. C'était tout simplement la meilleure salade que j'aie jamais mangée !

Si vous avez un jour la chance de visiter Vincent Sous Marin, n'hésitez pas une seconde. Vous ne le regretterez pas !

Très bon propriétaire il aime c'est clients & ça cuisine & sa se sens & sa se goûte dans sont manger & dans l'ambiance du resto je recommande sans hésite
