Reviews describe Villa Du Souvlaki as one of the best souvlaki spots in Montreal, with consistently fresh ingredients, tender meat, generous portions and good value, and many call it a Montreal institution and a must visit; hospitality is frequently praised, contributing to repeat visits, though a few notes point to occasional gaps such as missing tzatziki on some chicken skewers plates, inconsistencies with pita type and occasional undercooked chicken, and a couple of maintenance or service quirks; overall the experience is seen as solid and worth returning to, with parking sometimes challenging and dining described as simple but friendly.
Simply the best Souvlaki restaurant in town. Been almost 30 years that I was a regular customer & always have an excellent service, excellent food with always fresh vegetables. Thank you for being part of our neighborhood!
I had a lovely experience at this Greek restaurant! I ordered the gyro salad with pita & it was absolutely delicious-fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, & the pita was warm & soft. What made the visit even more special was the hospitality. When they found out I had just moved to the neighborhood, they welcomed me with a homemade dessert on the house. Such a kind & thoughtful gesture! I'll definitely be coming back. A real gem in the area!
Excellent food. I literally tried every plate. One of the best grekj salads that i ever had The only reason i gave 4 stars is that no taziki came with my two chicken skewer plate. Taziki is a must & i feel that we shouldnt have to pay extra for it, totally felt like a rip-off & kind of ruined my experience

Simply awesome, when in town i make a specific trip to villa even if it's not directly on my way home .. the food is so good . thanks tasso for awesome experience each time
This review is almost painful to leave. Because the service here was some of the best I've had in Montreal. The mother & daughter (assuming they are family) were both very welcoming & polite. Full table service for only a $10 pita. Unfortunately, the cooks did not show the same love in the food. I could almost taste his frustration with life in the sandwich. A couple of the chicken pieces weren't even thoroughly cooked. Tzatziki was lacking in flavour, was almost just yoghurt. They didn't use the thick Greek pitas, this was an Arabic pita which is thinner & not usually used for Greek food. I wish the food was 2/3 as good as the service.
Update Mar 2025: Gyros pita meat was too salty to my taste. Pork pita meat was tender & delicious. Maintenance deficient: worn out baseboard heaters with pitting rust need to be replaced or at least repainted. There was a suspicious large accumulation (6 in x 1 in x 1in) of dark floor dirt against the western corner of the electric heater under the large main window. I struggled to finish my meal after seeing that.
2024: Have been returning for decades to this restaurant for their (2 marinated grilled pork brochettes) souvlaki platter (with fries & greek salad). Very satisfying with a softdrink. Parking can be difficult on narrow Prud'Homme or on busy Sherbrooke W. Sherbrooke exit of Autoroute 15. Order at the counter & sit at a table. Simple service.

One of our favourite Greek restaurant. We usually do takeout. Although sometimes they get our order slightly wrong... The food is more than delicious enough to compensate keeping us coming back every week.
