Stumbled upon this gem a couple of days ago while eating next door.
We decided to give it a shot & I couldn't have been more impressed. The owner, Andy, was there & you can instantly feel the love he's poured into the place. He's created an atmosphere that feels like home-with a warm, family vibe that makes dining here extra special.
We sampled a bunch of dishes recommended by friends, & also the staff, & every single bite was a win. Honestly, we were blown away!
If you're looking for a cozy spot with incredible food & that welcoming, family-style touch-you have to check this place out. Highly recommend!
I've passed by this place a few times but then I decided to check it out. Hidden inside a strip mall away from the main commercial arteries, it's easy to miss.
Named after the owner Fabio's hometown of Viana, picturesque photos of which add to the lively decor, it has an impressive menu of authentic Portuguese-style food served by friendly staff.
I opted for a large format Portuguese poutine, non-spicy. Let me tell you, it was a big heaping big bowl filled with crispy fries (a little on the salty side), cheese curds, tender grilled chicken & pork, gravy & their signature spicy sauce topped with a sprinkling of dry parsley.
It was tasty & quite filling.
The other menu items I've tried are the Portuguese fried whole chicken ($15.00 if ordered from their carry out only menu, but no fries & no eating it on the premises) & the half chicken from their sit down menu, with fries & salad.
They've also recently issued a loyalty card.
Definitely worth the visit.
That was six years ago, now I'm not so sure. Two years ago I was shocked to find out that the owner had committed suicide & frankly it just isn't the same without him.
I visited again recently & the new owners have kept Fabio's photograph (the other family heirlooms are gone) & have added a donation jar to Suicide Action Montreal which I found to be a nice touch.
What I did not find nice was them cancelling the loyalty card. Discontinuing the program is one thing, but refusing to honor the loyalty cards of loyal customers whose patronage made the business what it is I find to be insulting.
On top of that, on my last visit I decided to attend a special tasting to support local businesses & ordered their six tiny tacos which came to $48.00 each, plus tax of course. This was a bit over budget & when I didn't leave a tip, the new owner called me on it said that we tip our employees.
He basically called me a thief.
Well, you may have saved yourself the cost of a chorizo sandwich but you've now lost a customer.
We just tripped upon this restaurant through a general search. What a lucky find. The food was outstanding. Fresh, flavourful & hot! The staff was beyond lovely & friendly & service is very important to them. I will be back & will tell everyone I know about this treasure in Lasalle. Bravo Andy & Fernanda. You have done a great job here!

J'ai pris une petite poutine portugaise à 17$ & malheureusement le poulet était froid & le chorizo aussi étais froid donc sa a vite rendu la poutine tiède & je n'ai pas aimer le goût de la sauce & du chorizo..
La serveuse étais très gentille

Une véritable explosion de saveurs portugaises authentiques ! Le poulet grillé est juteux, bien assaisonné & accompagné de sauces maison.
Service :
Le personnel est chaleureux, attentionné & connaît bien le menu, prêt à offrir d'excellentes recommandations. Le service est rapide & efficace, même pendant les heures de pointe. On sent une véritable passion pour la cuisine & le désir de faire plaisir aux clients.
Ambiance :
Le restaurant est petit mais accueillant, avec une atmosphère conviviale qui rappelle les tascas portugaises. Idéal pour un repas en famille, entre amis ou même à emporter. La propreté des lieux & la décoration simple mais chaleureuse contribuent à une expérience agréable.
Une adresse incontournable à LaSalle pour les amateurs de cuisine portugaise authentique. Je recommande vivement & j'y retournerai sans hésiter !
Have ordered takeout chicken dinners from this place twice now & boy is it tasty. All of the people at the party that I was hosting were like where is his chicken from & I proudly told them from this awesome little place right near my house. Looking forward to trying some of your other dishes & dining in also!

L'endroit vaut amplement le détour. Assiettes généreuses, goûteuses, servies dans de vraies assiettes traditionnelles portugaises. Prix corrects
Ce poulet est le meilleurs poulet portugais en ville! Jamais sec,goûteux !

J'a esseyer le poulet portugais Barcelos & Piri Piri qui étaient bon jusqu'à je découvre ce petit restaurant sans prétention sur Lapierre j'ai essayé le poulet épicé mais pas trop piquant & vinaigré comme la plupart des restaurants qui était juste Wow & des super cote lève fumé que dire des fameuses tartes portugaises je vous garantie que vous serez pas déçu !

The rice was tasty, the chicken was too spicy, & the meal was a little bit expensive.
