Bem-vindos a Viana! Antonio & Celeste Da Costa from a small village in Northern Portugal, were inspired by the idea of crossing the ocean to create a better life for themselves and their children. They immigrated to Canada in 1978 and settled in Lasalle borough in the early 1980s. In 1984 their son, Carlos Costa began working at one of Montreal's finest landmarks, Jano Grillades. He worked there for close to 30 years and acquired deeply rooted knowledge of Portuguese cuisine. Carlos and his son Fabio shared a passion for hard work and the food service industry. Along with the help and support of his wife Ines and daughter Vanessa, they decided as a family that they would embark on a passion project which would allow them to fulfill a lifelong dream. As proud Luso-Canadians, Fabio and Vanessa were inspired by their father's hometown Viana do Castelo, where they vacationed every summer. Viana is an homage to their heritage, and a place where they are able to share and multiply the love they have for their culture. Obrigado!

Would not recommend & would never order again, also the kids barely had any of the food. I ordered whole chicken, fries, rice , salad & Creamy Shrimp Fritters. The fries were awful, old & soggy. The chicken is ok but nothing special, you should know that their mild sauce is still very spicy, The worst of all was Creamy Shrimp Fritters , mushy & tasteless , the rice was ok & the salad was good,View more

Great find! We dined in tonight & an overall great experience! All of the food was amazing, down to the seasoning on the fries! The chicken was great, the salad as well! & the pastel de nata, so good! Andy (the owner) super nice guy who took his time to have a conversation with us! Comfort food at its best! Great spot for some authentic charcoal grilled chicken. Well seasoned, tender, & juicy chicken pairs well with their homemade spicy sauce. Fries & Natas are also excellent. Good packaging for takeout as well!View more

The food was really disappointing. Very salty & the piri piri sauce was awful - was almost tomatoey. I've had a lot of Portuguese chicken in my life & this is definitely on the lower end of the scale. People have raved about this to me & I was hoping for a LaSalle version of Romados or Ma Poule Mouiller...this is definitely not that. Maybe an off night for them but I won't be returning.View more
