A very popular apple U-Pick in this region When I say popular...I mean it. On the weekends in September there are hundreds of cars in their parking lot & all along the roadway. There is a mockup pirate ship for the kids as well as other climbing apparatus. I go for the apples. Hands down these guys have the biggest & juiciest Honeycrisp apples I have purchased anywhere & at a price that cannot be beat by any grocery store. There are the usual apple stand goodies as well, from honey to maple syrup & a large selection of apple baked goods ( all delicious). Staff are friendly in spite of the huge crowd. Go early if you want to park on their property close to the facilities. A good experience. I recommend.

When we went, it was packed with kids for about an hour then everyone was leaving, I didn't know it was because they were paving the road you come in & out of & we barely got out just in time before getting stuck there.

This rushed our stay there & we just left since everyone was leaving. I think they should have refused ppl that day. You drive so far all to be rushed.
Nice ppl, great rustic shop with self-serve tea & coffee you can purchase. It offers a freezer section of the goods they sell fresh, at a discount, or pay premium for fresh. So you can leave with local goods either way.
The pie that you can order is fresh & hot in a box. Around $13.
Truthfully the apple Pie is very pretty ordered fresh (mounded), when you buy made to order, vs frozen pie $10. The frozen pie is flat with less filling so much smaller. I bought both. Fresh was better.

Its the first time I sat down with a warm pie & coffee outside, & ate a piece in this way straight from the box. The crust is ok not greasy just right. Its natural so you do not have lots of sugar, butter or spices. Its a real natural apple pie. It's different than my homemade pie, but for purchased, it still tastes homey. I suggest trying a piece before u get the whole pie its worth doing this, incase you don't want to invest in the entire pie. If you do so you can get other goodies if it's not your cup of tea.

There are Artisan cutting boards, maple syrup, local honey, freezer meals for sale etc.
Great local honey I bought a huge jar it's different in taste, & being it was blueberry variety it was different. The staff was super friendly. Its a beautiful drive there from the South Shore.

I still recommend you try everything first on individual order, & the cider donuts were a no brainer. However we had aftertaste afterwards tasting the oil they are fried in. Again making things at home you can control these factors. Being a Friday, it was old oil that they were fried in. They taste great when you eat them, then it kicks in. Try first before buying a box.

I recommend this orchard if you have kids. If not look to other orchards with more adult activities, & options so you have something to do while there & will not be disappointed driving all that way. The play park & pirate theme is child friendly on a small scale. They seem to offer trailer rides & the animals they had were rabbits & a couple of goats.
Lots of hornets in swarms come to you if you are outside, though unavoidable. We were bitten & still have welts weeks later. I recommend long sleeves & pants which we had, but additional layers. Watch out if you are allergic. There should be a control over this. They love the smell of pie or donuts. I've not experienced this at other venues perhaps due to control & deterrents where ppl sit or walk around. You need bees not hornets.
For people & kids with allergies to yellow jackets be very careful.
It is definitely kid friendly. There is a fee for the orchard & animals even if you just want to walk around not picking any apples of $2.00.
The apples were sold prebagged for $10+ but again kiosk was closed so we did not even get any apples.
I was expecting more activity & the restaurant open, across from the shop, but the kiosks were closed on a Friday. Maybe weekends are busier.
I would go back for the drive, & to pickup honey & cider donuts just for the outing.
Bathrooms available incase anyone was wondering. Not quiet as a venue, as its kids oriented. So expect it over the weekend.
The pictures are just of the veranda & orchard not the entire location. I did not want to post personal pictures.
