Vago is our go-to spot for special occasions. We recently went for our anniversary celebration & the food was more delicious than ever. Their bruschetta is OUT OF THIS WORLD, the truffle arancini was mouth watering, & the pastas are fresh & cooked to perfection. Time & time again I'm blown away by the quality & taste of the food they serve.
Not to be outdone, the service is A+++, the waiting staff is incredible & attentive, & make you feel like family.
A visit to Vago is a special experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Vago. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere, service, & attention to detail were exceptional.
The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, & welcoming throughout the entire evening, always serving with genuine kindness & beautiful smiles. The level of service truly stood out - our cutlery & plates were continuously refreshed throughout dinner, extra napkins were thoughtfully placed beside us, & our water glasses were never left empty. It felt like true fine dining hospitality.
A very special thank you to the three amazing attendants who took such wonderful care of our table: Aylar, Alexandra, & Tal. Your professionalism, warmth, & attention made our evening unforgettable.
The food was absolutely outstanding. We ordered three different pasta dishes, & each one was more delicious than the next - rich in flavour, perfectly prepared, & literally melting in your mouth. The Mediterranean salad with fish was beyond incredible, fresh & beautifully balanced. The steak & fries were cooked perfectly & absolutely delicious as well.
Everything about this restaurant reflects elegance, quality, & genuine hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional Italian dining experience in Montreal. The next time we are in Montreal, we will absolutely be coming back!
Made the mistake of choosing this establishment for dinner during my work trip a few weeks ago, where I had the misfortune of overhearing a man, who appeared to be the owner, making racist remarks about the new mayor of New York, & sharing harmful narratives regarding the muslim community. For a city that seems to take pride in its inclusivity, I unfortunately did not get that impression from this restaurant, & highly recommend against attending; regardless of your views, a restaurant is for an inviting atmosphere & respectable dining, neither of which were provided.
Amazing ambiance, a true gem in Westmount. Shaun gives an incredible level of service & hospitality, even if it's just for an espresso. Highly recommended.
We came on Tuesday for lunch, 5 of us, the broccoli soup of the day was so salty I got a headache instantly with one spoon full, my husband & I both took it, our friends also tasted it & consensus was unanimous, extremely oversalted, we sent it back. I ordered the Taki Taki & Octopus, it was absolutely fantastic, mind you very small baby portions, it's a starter, just enough to wet the beak. Hubby got the fried calamari, also amazing, highly recommend, I should have ordered that too, then the grilled Veal over veggies, pounded to a thin patty, well prepared. The butter for the bread was rock solid, he should have took it out to thaw like an hour before opening, same for the desserts, the profiterole were also just out of the freezer, I couldn't get my knife through, had to stab it like some psycho to get to the middle, it should have been creamy but they were hard as a rock, however still delicious, not too sweet just perfect. The music was so loud I had to scream, then it was quiet so I think he figured it out. The paintings are fantastic, I was in awe just staring at them. Look, if you want professional perfect service & show off to clients go to the Keg, if you don't mind casual whatever service & overpriced food this is the place for you.
This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Montreal! The service is impeccable & their menu is simply amazing, a must try if you love italian cuisine. Highly recommend!
