Went in for a Double Uniburger. The server was very nice & polite but the burger was genuinely disgusting. It was a greasy mess, with a soggy bun. One of the worst burgers I've ever had. Felt sick the rest of the evening.
Edit: This was at the St Henri location on Thursday.
Paid 45$ left a 15% tip. Made it home to Hochelaga with only half of my order in the bag. When I called they didn't offer any way to fix the situation & when asked if there was someone I could speak to the cashier just said no. Really bad service for what this cost me.
I'll go to the burgers in a minute, first I want to mention that I was required to wear a mask today, they have a signe in the front, but the guy, preparing my food, serving my order, packing my little boxes didn't even bother in having one. I'm not too worried but please be respectful.
Hamburgers are good, like many many others out there. The rankings saying it's one of the best in Canada are completely false. These burgers & fries are absolutely overpriced & overrated, they are as basic & soulless as can be.
U P D A T E
Hello! It's great to hear from you after five years since my initial post. It's never too late to make things right.
My family & I are big fans of good hamburgers, always trying new flavours while also enjoying a classic, quality burger. We're loyal customers of some Montreal hamburger restaurants, but in this case, we have never returned to Uniburger.
Here's what happened:
1. The only person preparing & serving the food was the same person every time. This was the store on Rue Notre Dame in Saint Henry.
2. The hamburgers were soulless & lacked any identity. They weren't memorable, which is a shame because Uniburger prides itself on extraordinary burgers. You should price them accordingly.
3. I'm willing to give you another chance if I have the opportunity. I'd love to see if things have improved.
The fall from the grace has been steep it seems. I m all for supporting local businesses BUT. THAT LOCATION IS DISGUSTING. That place looks like its never been cleaned since they took ownership. Throw up some plexiglass fire up the flat top & cook. The stock is in the front of house. Buns, cases of coke, other miscellaneous food items. Have you just given up ?? Cause it sure looks like it. Not even close to the glory of the original location, such a huge disappointment. If this is a franchise, I highly recommend this place be checked on because its not a question of adhering to standards, they're non existant. Very unfortunate!! Please if u have in mind to experience'the best burger in Canada' the only glimmer of a hope you may have will be at the original location.
Edit:
Getting a response 5 years later says everything you need to know. Funny I havent been back since, & dont plan on ever returning. The review was made at the location in question but the owners want me to specify which one & send photos. . . 5 years later.Seems like the hype is over guys, time to do better or go the way of the dinosaur.!!
