Known for some of the best burgers in the city, including their famous “Typhoon Burger,” this neighbourhood lounge also offers a large menu of finger foods, salads and desserts that are perfect for sharing while out for drinks with friends.
Across reviews, Typhoon Lounge shines with friendly attentive service, a great atmosphere, and a solid menu of tasty bites and strong drinks. The terrace and the interior offer a cozy vibe, late hours, and good music that make it easy to hang out with friends. Signature wings and comforting dishes stand out, while a bar team that keeps things fun and welcoming encourages repeat visits and memorable nights.
Nice environment. Not too crowded which is perfect. I hadn't really left the house in a few weeks to go to a'third place', saw this bar & parked nearby to watch the habs game. Maeté (not sure how you spell it) was amazing & kind, lowkey crush on her (but thats just between us), & made me feel comfortable sitting at the bar.
A nice Guinness, solid onion rings, a good habs game & got to be surrounded by a great ambiance at a good price. Walked outside & in 2 mins was in my car because parking is abundant on the streets perpendicular to the bar.
Went back again since then, & plan on going back in the future.
We had such a great night here! The service at the bar was fantastic - super friendly, accommodating, & really made the whole experience fun. We were there with friends & had an absolute blast.
The food was just as impressive. The honey garlic wings were sticky, sweet, & totally addictive, & the Southern Cream wings were packed with flavor. The mac & cheese with pulled pork was rich, creamy, & the perfect comfort food.
Between the amazing food, great service, & fun atmosphere, this place is a winner. We'll definitely be coming back!

I would describe typhoon lounge as the real deal. The food is amazing & it's not only your average pub menu!! The outdoor terrace is lovely in good weather & the inside has plenty of seating. The very best part about typhoon is the service. Our server was named Charlotte & she was the highlight of our night! Charlotte was so kind, accommodating & professional that I will struggle to not compare other service elsewhere to her! Definitely check out this bar for a good time & friendly atmosphere.
I've gone to Typhoon a few times, most recently in February on a Friday evening with friends, & the vibes were good: the music & lighting were perfect for an intimate round of pints & conversation. Prices were fair, & the draft selection was adequate. The service was quick & friendly, & overall we enjoyed ourselves.
The food was a little disappointing. While the prices & portions were fine, the quality was underwhelming.
I like Typhoon for a satisfying pint & fun times with friends, & it's a solid neighbourhood bar overall.

Great food, great drinks & amazing service from our bartender Maite! she was so attentive & made sure we had the best night! definitely recommend & coming back for sure
Super friendly staff. Great late night eats as well. Nice quiet neighborhood, not quite your standard local bar, but not a trendy hot spot either. It's just a quaint lil bar on monkland. Does a bit of the late night party vibe going. Ask for Steven or Maitei the two best
I absolutely LOVED this place. There was this AMAZING bar tender, I believe her name was Sofia. She made amazing drinks & was super helpful! 10/10 best bar in Montreal!
My visit to this bar was a departure from my usual haunts, which was a refreshing change. I attended a work event & we reserved a section near the entrance. The ambiance is that of a casual hangout spot; nothing too fancy, so no need to dress up. The layout includes a terrace & a basement bar accessed via stairs. Drinks are reasonably priced, with beers going for around $8. While my vodka Redbull was a bit weak on the alcohol content, the Saint-Germain spritz & Moscow mule were decent choices. I'd recommend sticking to beer here. Most people mainly ordered burgers & fries, served generously. The music started off poorly but improved as the night went on (commerical/mainstream music). They also had basketball games playing on the TVs, which was a nice touch. Street parking is available nearby. The service at the bar was excellent; the bartender was friendly & quick to serve our drinks. However, the table service was a bit lacking, with the waitress being somewhat slow. Overall, a decent spot for a casual night out.
I've tried to give this place a few tries now (seen as it's a local bar) but it is overpriced & the service is always hit or miss, as well as having an uptight atmosphere.
This was an ok place but people watch your bills.our bartentender name was Steven & he overcharge alot & then when I called him on it ,he said he would put it on someone else bill.to say the least I was highly offended by his actions
