Overall, TwentyTwo Café is praised for its cute interior, friendly staff, good coffee, croissants, and tasty sandwiches such as tunacado and halloumi, creating a generally positive vibe; however several reviews mention a chilly or quiet atmosphere, slow Wi Fi for studying, parking difficulties, and higher prices, while some service and hygiene issues like unacknowledged guests, items running out, staff not washing hands, and smoke near the door can make the experience feel inconsistent and at times uncomfortable.
Very Joe & The Juice vibes, especially like the Tunacado. Parking is a bit tricky since you need to ask an employee to open the lot. Coffee & food are really good, just slightly on the pricey side.
Awesome staff & variety, however, the coffee I ordered came with way too much milk in it (coffee tasted like sweet cereal milk instead of a latte), so I would suggest mentioning you want much less milk than they usually put if you want a normal coffee.
Here is a real & honest review. The sandwiches & coffee were very good, no complaints on that aspect. HOWEVER, the service is the worst i've ever seen in the city of Laval. When we arrived, the guy at the cash didn't really acknowledge us, then when i told him what i wanted to order he said'no more salad, beef, or açai bowls'. I've been to several cafes before, & not once have i been told that they ran out of ingredients. It's just really sad to see a place have a lot of potential with disappointing service.
coffee is overpriced but good. The employee that served me was very nice. What I didn't like is that another employee was smoking right next to the door. He needs to smoke within 9 meters of the building, it's a known law. The blow of smoke went in my face which I find disgusting. He didn't even apologize. Then he came back in the store, took another customers order, they ordered sandwiches & he made them without washing his hands, right after smoking & taking a chair from the customers table. Please review the hygiene & sanitation rules with him.
Super cute place I love the atmosphere, coffee was pretty good I find it kind of pricy though I ordered 2 cold coffees with oat milk & a chocolate croissant, the total came out too 23$ plus I added tip… The dessert tasted good but did not look good. They make the display of the desserts look so full yet when they make it it looks nothing close to what they advertise… kinda deceiving. The service was alright, the girl at the cash seemed disturbed & seemed like she did not want to deal with anyone. Don't think I'll be coming back here unfortunately.
Nice new cafe sitting at the base of the new buildings on st Martin. A bit difficult if you want to park as that is not really possible unless you're taking it to go. Coffee was good & the inside of the cafe is not too big but offers a nice industrial look.
Visited a few times & absolutely love the atmosphere & the general vibe. Marlene was super patient, knowledgable, attentive & was able to offer options based on my dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend the hot coffee with the added protein powder. Prices are reasonable & coffee is of excellent quality

Overall rating 7.5/10 2 drinks 2 sandwiches with tip 53$? it's on the overpriced side, but ngl their iced vanilla latte is v good, the barista was not very bubbly, & their sandwiches are not something you can't make at home, they have a few selections of pastries,the location is hidden under a building, packaging is cute but if you're having the halloumi sandwich the olive oil part while eating is going to be messy, the only reason i'll be going back is for the coffee. only criticism is the price tbh.
22cafe is a hidden gem with the best coffee & a welcoming ambiance! If you ever visit, I'm sure you'll have a delightful time soaking in the cozy atmosphere & savoring every sip of their fantastic coffee. So happy to have found my day to day coffee shop.
