Review Summary

Tunnel Espresso Bar is described as having a warm, cozy atmosphere with books and a piano that guests can play, creating a soothing setting alongside good coffee and pastries. Some reviews note that the hot chocolate was not warm enough and a croissant could not be warmed, while others praise the bookstore cafe concept and the overall experience. Live piano performances are a common highlight, with one reviewer mentioning a magical piano performance by a talented pianist. A bold, well balanced iced latte is said to become smoother with a hint of cane sugar. The coffee is regarded as among the best in Montreal by some, though the space can be crowded and occasionally understaffed. The cafe is also described as a beautiful place to visit, where people come to sit around and listen to the piano, and almond cookies are highlighted as tasty.

I'm so disappointed that I spent my hard earned money at this cafe. The chocolatine I got was so dry it can't even be a chocolatine because those are supposed to be buttery & soft & mine was dry & hard. The chai latte I ordered literally tasted like warm milk, nothing else, no hint of chai or spice. Also when I came to order the girl behind the counter told me'I'm on break' & she told the same thing to the man behind me, we looked at each other confused because normally employees would go to some employee room for their break & not stand behind the counter. After one bite of the 5.30$ chocolatine I brought it back to her & she was kind enough to reimburse it to me but I felt too bad to do the same with the 6.90$ chai because she was the one to make it, unlike the chocolatine which I'm assuming wasn't her fault. I would highly appreciate if the manager could do something about this. Either reimburse the warm milk I got or give a credit for a better experience next time because I go to this Indigo store often & would love to have quality drinks there sometimes but everytime I've tried this cafe it's been disappointing spending money there.

Une ambiance chaleureuse. Des livres. Du café. & un piano ❤?
J'ai eu la chance d'écouter un jeu de piano magique, interprété par une femme magnifique 🙏
