My favorite restaurant in Montreal. Wonderful food, amazing staff & an modest chef/owner spending most of his nights shucking oysters. High end food in a casual atmosphere. Truly a treasure! Oh, & an honourable mention to the desserts made by the chef/owner's mom.
The only thing negative I have to say about this place is that it has become very loud. The music could be turned down significantly, Which would make conversation easier.
I never understood why this restaurant doesn't get mentioned more on top Montreal restaurant lists.View more

Tuck Shop is an absolute must-visit if you're in town. Everything - from the food to the service to the atmosphere - is outstanding. The staff are some of the friendliest & kindest I've ever encountered, with incredibly fast & attentive service. The food was delicious across the board, with highlights including the seasonal king crab, the octopus, their classic steak frites, & the chocolate dessert. I cannot recommend Tuck Shop enough & will definitely be coming back.View more

Recently booked a table at Tuck Shop, & from start to finish, everything was spot on. From the moment we walked in the door, we were immediately taken care of.
The service was outstanding. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, & made us feel right at home. They were genuinely excited to share their knowledge about the food & drinks, which made the experience even better.
The wine list is great, & the staff really knows their stuff. We got an awesome recommendation for a bottle that paired perfectly with our meal.
As for the food - we expected it to be so, but it was incredible. We sat at the chef's counter, & it was great to watch the chefs work their magic. Each dish was fresh, full of flavour, & beautifully presented.
The menu changes every month based on what's in season, so you know everything is always fresh & well thought out.
All in all, Tuck Shop is a St. Henri & Montreal gem. Great food, excellent service, & a cool atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!View more

J'ai été déçu de mon expérience au Tuck Shop. Premièrement, le service était un peu persévérant & persistant. Deux serveurs pour venir à notre table & se sentir observés était de trop. Je crois qu'un des serveurs était nouveau & je suis tout à fait empathique à la situation. Par contre, il y avait beaucoup trop de personnes qui venait aux 3-4 minutes, alors qu'on pouvait s'en passer. J'aurais aimé avoir une quiétude & être en mesure d'avoir une discussion avec les gens à la table. Aussi, coté nourriture, les pâtes Agnolotti, nous avions eu l'impression qu'elles n'étaient pas entièrement cuites. Pour le prix, je m'attendais à avoir quelques pâtes supplémentaires au lieu de 6. À la fin, je n'ai pas apprécié que le serveur vienne & me touche le dos avec sa main pour savoir si nous voulions notre facture. Le'bro avez-vous besoin de d'autres choses?' aurait pu être abordé d'une autre manière de façon professionnelle.View more

Came here for a girls night, very cute setting, with a small but yummy menu. Staff is attentive & friendly & happy to answer questions & provide recommendations. As someone with celiac, I wouldn't recommend due to cross contamination & the options were limited. However, for a regular person, definitely worth trying. My husband & I had an absolutely delicious meal at Tuck Shop. We sat at the Chef's Table, which is always a fun experience for a restaurant to offer (I love an open kitchen). Gabriel, our server, was very attentive - as was the bartender & the rest of the staff. The food was incredible, & all was plated SO beautifully - Michelin star level plating. We started with oysters, & loved their specialty hot sauce that they had on the side. We then split the grilled octopus (which was so tender & not at all chewy like you sometimes get), the pork belly (which came in the most incredible sauce), the Duck Duo (yum!), & the Chocolate Nemesis dessert - which was the only thing I managed to take a picture of. We left with very happy stomachs. Highly recommend!View more

Tuck Shop used to be one of our favorite spots-we always loved the food, the ambiance, & the overall experience. Unfortunately, something has changed, & our recent visit left us extremely disappointed.
From the moment we sat down, we felt rushed through our entire three-course meal. Our $100 bottle of wine was repeatedly poured high, seemingly to encourage faster consumption. As we were slowly savoring our last glass, we were abruptly informed that we couldn't order a cocktail to finish our evening because we needed to vacate the table in five minutes & jackets were delivered to our chairs, which were quickly taken back when I asked to first finish my wine glass.
The worst part? We were only given 1 hour & 15 minutes to enjoy a full three-course meal & a bottle of wine-an experience that should have felt indulgent & enjoyable, not pressured & hurried. Meanwhile, two other couples were there before us & still enjoying a coffee & dessert while we had to go. For a pricy evening, it was one of the most dissatisfying dining experiences we've had in a long time.
If you value a relaxed & well-paced dining experience, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. We won't be returning anytime soon.View more
