Good food, but far too expensive. The staff was obnoxious & inattentive. The music was tacky & played way too loudly as the volume was often raised to the point of being inconsiderate. There's far nicer places to go to in Montreal than an overpriced & gaudy café attached to a mall food court.
It is a great place for meeting up with friends. Good selections of hot or cold drinks, healthy snakes, & salads. I love their Chai latte & Budha bowl, or Almond croissant, for example.
Really cute cafe with a chill vibe & variety of options. Staff were super friendly, it's a nice spot to relax or get some work done. Will definitely be coming back.
Tommy's is my partners & I go to breakfast place we come here often & get the same thing the cali Benedict every time & it has never disappointed till recently. The last two times our food was missing the pesto & the eggs were hard. However the most recent time my eggs were not runny & hard around the edges so they remade them & brought them back ever harder it was completely fully cooked .The third time they just replaced the eggs so I could swap them off & the eggs were barely even cooked to the point where when you cut the egg open water came out along with the yolk. I understand that sometimes things happen but for two separate time to have hard eggs & have to remake them 3 times to still not be good for a breakfast place is not great. Hoping the new owners can get things back on track.
J'ai toujours aimé manger au Tommy Café ! La nourriture est excellente par contre le service n'a jamais été leur fort (je crois que les serveurs ont aucune expérience) j'y suis retourné dernièrement on nous a mentionné que les propriétaires avait changer ( aucune boisson alcoolisée / la moitié du menu était non disponible a cause d'un bris ) le serveurs très gentil par contre nous l'a mentionné plus tard quand nos choix était fait dommage … est ce que je vais y retourner ? peut etre a une autre location
Gotta say, the only thing consistent about this place is how bad & slow the service is. It's a bunch of kids running the kitchen just yapping. The servers/hostess just stare at you & won't even check in. If you don't ask for an update, you'll probably just sit there waiting. & when you do, just a bunch of girls rolling their eyes lol. 50mins for a croissant sandwich is crazy! Plus, how long does it take to make eggs? It's terrible all the time, & the food is just ok. The drinks are very bad & watered down as well, just get starbucks. Oh & the pastries are stale. Do yourself a favour & just go to Tims :)
While the food is well prepared & recipes are fantastic, this place has a major culture problem. Staff is young, inexperienced. As a result, they feel they are entitled to behave with contempt. I suspect it comes from the man who was reviewing reports at a table, who did not even bother to apologize when his staff dropped a glass of water on my father-in-law which then shattered at his feet. Not sure this place understands our expectations.
