Just had a wonderful breakfast at Tommy Cafe at Royalmount. I went with my 2 besties & Justine was serving us. The service was exceptional! She made sure to talk to us about the most popular dishes & gave recommendations. She explained gluten free options since I am gluten free. I ordered the shakshouka & it was delicious. 100% recommend & ask to be served by Justine.
That being said the whole team on that day was very quick & gave us good service.

I was so looking forward to this place but was very underwhelmed & disappointed. We (3 people) arrived Sunday morning at 10:30 AM & it was empty so we were quickly seated & offered menus. Waitress came pretty fast to take our coffee orders, I had a cappuccino & it was very good. While the waitress was taking our food orders, a table of 2 guys were seated next to us & not sure why but they received their orders before us. By 11:15ish it was pretty packed. I had french toast & all 3 pieces unfortunately were overcooked & the corner pieces were burnt. Another thing, all 3 of our water glasses tasted bizarre…like if the glasses weren't cleaned properly. Unfortunately I don't see what the big fuss is about. Nothing special about this place. Not worth it to go out of my way to get coffee/breakfast here.

The atmosphere at the cafe is very calm & peaceful. The staff here are remarkably amiable & genial; their kindness made our entire visit. & they are very friendly with kids too. The coffee is good. At 5$ this coffee is in the sweet spot for value.
Overall, it's definitely a very good choice for breakfast / brunch with family & friends.

I got the truffle eggs benedict. The eggs were soft-boiled & overcooked, so no liquid yolk. The hollandaise sauce was also separating & breaking.

My friend got the breakfast sandwich, which was cold & the whites of the egg were uncooked.

The lattes were good! Staff was friendly

Avocado toast was 10/10 absolutely fantastic! Fresh avocado & great toast. My friend had the Bae breakfast with toast, eggs, salad, potatoes & sausage & it was fantastic as well. Tommy gets it right at Royalmount too 💯

Great place for breakfast/ lunch! They were very accommodating & super efficient. Everything we got was delish! Will be back here next time when visiting Montreal!
