Je suis venue dans ce café pour la première fois aujourd'hui avec ma fille de 2 ans. Le café se trouve dans le même bâtiment qu'un Poulet Rouge, avec une terrasse à l'extérieure du batiment.
J'ai d'abord acheté un mini bol chez Poulet Rouge pour ma fille, puis je suis allée au café avec le sac poulet rouge clairement visible à la main. Il n'y avait aucun client, ni à l'intérieur ni sur la terrasse. L'employée à la caisse m'a vue entrer avec le sac, j'ai commandé un americano & un croissant, puis j'ai payé. APRÈS avoir encaissé mon paiement, la caissière me dit que btw ma fille ne peut pas manger le bol dans le café. Je lui dis aucun problème, je comptais aller sur la terasse prendre le cafe & ma fille va manger le petit bol. Elle m'a alors dit que c'était également interdit sur la terrasse, car celle-ci appartenait uniquement au café.
Je lui ai expliqué que je ne le savais pas & que de l'exterieur on dirait que la terasse est pour les 2 restos. Je lui demande vu que cest ma premiere fois ici, que je netais pas au courant & puisque je venais d'acheter un café & un croissant chez eux & quil ny a personne à part moi, est-ce que ma fille de 2 ans peut manger son petit bol pendant que je consommais ma commande dehors. Refus catégorique. Elle m'a dit que je devais quitter parce que j'avais de la nourriture de Poulet Rouge qui est literalement dans le meme batiment & separe d'une seule porte.
J'ai donc demandé qu'on annule & rembourse ma commande puisque je venais tout juste de payer & qu'on ne m'avait encore remis NI mon café NI mon croissant & qu'on m'empeche de rester dans leur resto consommer ma commande. On m'a répondu qu'il n'y aurait aucun remboursement parce que le café avait « déjà été préparé ».
Ce que je trouve particulièrement aberrant, c'est que l'employée m'a vue entrer avec mon sac Poulet Rouge, m'a laissé commander & payer, puis m'a annoncé immédiatement après que je ne pouvais pas rester. Si elle m'avait simplement prévenue AVANT de m'encaisser, je n'aurais évidemment pas passé la commande.
Je suis retournée chez Poulet Rouge avec ma fille, sans remboursement & sans même recevoir le café & le croissant que j'avais payés.
Je peux parfaitement comprendre qu'un établissement interdise la nourriture provenant d'un autre commerce. Ce n'est absolument pas le problème. Le problème, c'est d'attendre que je paye pour me dire que je ne peux pas rester ici puis de refuser de me rembourser une commande que jai meme pas recu. Je sens qu'on ma fraudé & volée & je suis vrm choquee du service.
Au moment de ma visite, il y avait environ 25 personnes chez Poulet Rouge & absolument personne dans ce café ni sur sa terrasse. Après cette expérience, je comprends malheureusement pourquoi.
On a commandé un café & du saumon fumé. Le café était bien préparé, avec un goût équilibré, & le saumon était frais, correctement tranché & bien présenté. Le cadre est agréable & plutôt calme, le service a été sympathique & attentif sans être intrusif. Dans l'ensemble, un bon petit moment, simple & correct.
Had a wonderful family visit at Tommy Café in Laval! We ordered the tiramisu, a limonade rosée, an iced latte with hazelnut syrup, & everything was fresh & delicious. The tiramisu was a highlight - rich & well-balanced, not overly sweet.
What really stood out was how family-friendly the experience was. The staff were genuinely nice & welcoming, there was plenty of space to fit our stroller comfortably without feeling cramped, & the place was spotless throughout our visit. It's rare to find a café that balances a stylish, elevated vibe with being this practical & comfortable for families with young kids.
Great addition to the Laval café scene - will definitely be back with the family!
Excellent café & très belle décoration. Enfin un endroit à Laval qui a un vrai cachet britannique. Ça faisait longtemps que j'attendais un café comme celui-là!
I had such a beautiful experience at Tommy Café. From the moment we walked in, you can really feel the care & warmth, especially from the owner, who is incredibly kind & welcoming. It honestly makes a difference.
The presentation of the food is just stunning, every plate looks like it's made with attention to detail & love. & the taste? Absolutely delicious. You can tell everything is made with quality ingredients.
But I have to say… their roasted coconut pie is on another level. Easily the best I've ever had.

First time visiting this café, & I absolutely loved the décor, the floors, the furniture, & the presentation of the dishes. The latte was spectacular. Five-star service & a perfect place to have a good conversation with friends.
Première visite dans ce café & j'ai adoré la décoration, les planchers, le mobilier ainsi que la présentation des plats. Le latte était spectaculaire. Service cinq étoiles & endroit parfait pour discuter entre amis.
Got a matcha latte that was terrible, friends got a cappuccino & a regular coffee, they were barely warm & the cappuccino had no milk foam. The breakfast pastries were obviously not fresh. The music in the background was so loud I couldn't peacefully have a conversation. I will give credit where it is due, I was able to get my matcha latte exchanged & payed the difference for a more expensive drink, the service was decent, the restaurant is cute but for a café the thing it messed up the most is the coffee which is obviously an issue
Beautiful experience at Tommy Café Laval! The ambiance is welcoming, the food & drinks were absolutely amazing - everything tasted fresh & carefully prepared. A special thank you to Elena for the outstanding service, she was attentive & friendly.We will definitely be back!
The service was poor even though the café was not busy at all. I was the only person ordering. The young lady serving didn't even bother to smile, & I had to remind them to use oat milk even though I had ordered it just seconds earlier.
It took about 10 minutes to make a hot chai latte, & when I finally received it, it was cold.
I really regret this experience & the 15% tip I left for such poor service.
