The Wheel Club is a unique and historic live music venue located in Montreal's NDG borough. Cherished by music fans all over the globe, it plays host to artists of all styles of music. It is also home to Montreal's longest running open mic night - Hillbilly Night - which brings together 3 generations of Country and Bluegrass music fans together each Monday. Its original decor from the days when it was a veteran's club is still in tact, yet modernized for today's artists and crowds. Stellar sound, unpretentious decor, great artistry, pool/pinball/darts/80s video games and good people are what make the Wheel Club a unique and nostalgic experience in Montreal. Also available for party rentals.
The Wheel Club comes across as a cozy, rough around the edges venue with a nostalgic vibe and a steady slate of events that bring a lively, sometimes dancing crowd. The vibe ranges from easygoing and retro to high energy during live music and karaoke nights, with shows often offering great value even if drink prices can feel steep. The space is charming but compact, and a column can obstruct part of the stage view; moving from round tables to regular ones is suggested to improve space and sightlines. For larger groups, reserving a table is recommended. The atmosphere is noted for a time slowing pace and a distinct Montreal feel, with reviews calling it a hidden gem. Performances include mainly live bands and tribute acts, with occasional nights relying on recorded backing tracks, and the staff is frequently praised for friendly service during events. Parking can be difficult, but the venue remains praised for its fun energy, good beer, and memorable karaoke nights with a welcoming community feel.
Nice little place with an older crowd. Prices are absurd… cheapest beer is 8$ for a 355ml Sleeman or 9$ for a pint (591ml) of Sleeman. Time moves slowly at this place.
A little gem, with plenty of nostalgia. The place has so much potential. Some minor updates & refreshing, get rid of the round tables just regular tables would free up so much more space.
Great place for live music at affordable prices! Love the artist & the vintage vibe! Excellent shows as saw Elton Songs & Bee Gees cover band! Hats off to Cyndi who does a great job!

Vendredi soir nous sommes allés voir le spectacle BEE GEES TRIBUTE -YOU SHOULD BE DANCING.
Just FINALLY came here for the first time, & i'm so happy i did!! I was served by Cyndi & Maggie, & I had the best night ever. I can't wait to come back here again! Montreals best hidden gem!
Great music at a dive bar.
Pinball machines flippers didn't work on one & the other stole my 1$ a few times so beware of that. Decent place to see a local show.
