Brought to you by John Edward Gumbley (Bord’Elle) and the Jegantic team, the Farsides is an edgy new take on the restaurant and bar scene. Our blend of culinary styling sets the exotic far eastern flavours of Thailand’s shores crashing into the far Western Beaches of Hawaiian cuisine. The result of this fusion is something we like to call Thaiwaiian. A sumptuous combination of authentic Thai and Hawaiian delicacies, merging familiar flavours with elevated function.
Not only do we consider the Farsides to be a unique take on cuisine, we also aim to please with a brand new re-imagining of the Tiki bar concept. Our mixology program features no less than a dozen modern interpretations of classic cocktails you would normally only expect to find on the Islands.
Stepping into the Farsides will be like walking into our version of an alleyway in Brooklyn circa 1992. Complete with brick walls as high as the eye can see, fire escapes, graffiti laced facades and believe it or not our very own hand painted basketball court. Add a touch of the exotic with jungle like overgrowth set to the beat of 80’s & 90’s hip pop and nostalgic memorabilia from the golden age of rap and what you’ll find is The Farsides.

Food was amazing, great service. Overall a really good experience for a date night! Would really recommend it to any of my friends & will definetly come backView more

Really enjoyed the vibe of this place. Food is really tasty, cocktails are amazing & our service is always good. So happy to finally have a place on the south shore to go to with great music from the 90s! Would definitely recommendView more
This was my first time in Canada on business, so I was unfamiliar with this restaurant. It was also a lot of my local colleagues first time there & we were NOT disappointed.View more
my ribeye was a newyork. wanted rare. got med rare. our waitress was more focused on being a bottle girl for another table, & took 35 mins before coming back. then tried convincing me it really was a ribeye.. i work at a steakhouse.. i know the difference
Food was mid Drinks are delicious Service was bad Very overpriced for the quality When we arrived, the service was prompt & very nice. The waitress took time to explain some items to us & our waters were being refilled quickly. Our drinks (a$ap strawberry & ginger one) were amazing. Our appetizer was also delicious, the crispy pork belly. But our good experience ended there. The pad Thai was very underwhelming for 30$. The "ribeye", which was ordered rare, came out medium/well. I put ribeye in quotation marks because we believe it was a new-york cut. The shape & the lack of fat on the meat were not indicative of a ribeye in any way. For 60$, this was insanely disappointing. We might have said something to our waitress, but she basically disappeared to take care of some bottle service with a group in the back of the restaurant. We (two people) were there for 1:30, while the table next to us who was 4 people with multiple drinks & 3 services, arrived after us & left well before us. They had a different waitress than us. To leave, we had to ask the hostess if we could please have our bill since we had been waiting with finished plates for 15-20min with no service. The waitress from the table next to us (with the patrons now gone), offered very nicely to bring us our check. We were very grateful & accepted. Before she could do so, our original waitress came to see us & said she would bring the bill asap. But asap seems to mean something different because she, again, seem to go to the back of the restaurant & we had to wait some more. Overall, we might have liked to come back with friends even if the food was mid due to the nice ambiance & good drinks, but we will definitely NOT be back due to the bad service.View more
One of my go to on the south shore! Definitely recommend!View more
Love this place, went for brunch with friends & family we all really loved it. The south shore needed a place like this. If you go make sure to try the chicken wings WOW!View more
Went for a brunch earlier in the summer, it was hosted by a gentleman named Chebz... the brunch menu was really good... & the event was lively with a fun atmosphere. Had the Ube french toast... really liked it. I'd definitely go back in the future.View more
