Reviewers describe The Comedy Nest as a charming intimate venue in Montreal, with a historic setting and a solid lineup of acts that can deliver great laughs at affordable prices, while the staff are friendly and the location offers easy access and nearby dining options. However some guests wish for better food options, more varied drinks, and upgraded facilities, with comments about the bathroom being outside the club and the interior flow being awkward, which can disrupt the evening. Several experiences highlight the value, the energetic atmosphere and the sense of community, making it a good weekend choice, though a few visits point to inconsistent service and limited amenities like snacks instead of a full menu, prompting some to return for the comedy but not necessarily for the food.
Love coming here, I've seen some great & not so great shows, but that is what comes with supporting comedians! Venue in a great spot, lots of great restaurants around & you can pay for parking underground if needed.
Taking off one star just because I wish there were better food options...the chips & salsa & popcorn can use some TLC.

After going a few time to McKibbins on Mondays for the comedy show, this place looks'fake' , like if it has no soul. Everything is missing. Comedian do their best to, but the problem is the place on my opinion
If you're looking for something to do in Montreal on the weekend this is definitely it! The comedians always put on a great show. The staff are so sweet & the tickets are so cheap!

I recently visited The Comedy Nest & unfortunately, my experience was disappointing overall.
One major inconvenience was that the bathroom is not located inside the comedy club itself - you have to leave the venue & walk toward the arcade area to use the restroom, which really disrupts the evening.
The drink options were quite limited, & I was surprised that they don't offer a complimentary glass of water - you're required to purchase bottled water instead.
Service was also lacking. The waitress took only part of our order & rushed off while I was still speaking. When I tried to continue, she mentioned that other clients were arriving, which felt dismissive & unprofessional.
While some of the comedians were funny, it wasn't enough to make up for the overall experience.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend & would not return.
Went on Valentine's night with my partner, & we were both really disappointed.
When we were being sat, the employee brought us to a table with another couple & pointed to it, saying'you can sit here, they are a lovely couple'.
Given that we were at a comedy club coupled with the fact that there were about 15 empty tables nearby, I thought the employee was doing a bit. I half-jokingly said,'are you serious...?' to which the employee very abruptly said,'we are fully sold out tonight, so yes, I am serious'.
I looked around the room & gestured towards the several empty tables, & the employee shrugged,'I guess you can sit over there then'.
My partner & I walked ourselves to an empty table (which was surrounded by several other empty tables), & by the time everyone had been seated, there were still 10 or so completely empty tables. Very bizarre.
The drinks were good & well-priced, but we were disappointed to see the only food on the menu was a small basket of popcorn (for I think $7?) & nachos & salsa, for an equally absorbent price.
Overall, we won't be back as while the comedians were funny, we'll go see them at a different venue with better customer service & snacks.
We're visiting Montreal & wanted to do something different for New Year's eve & laughing into the new year sounded great. The Comedy Nest didn't disappoint. All 5 comics were terrific & the bubbly & food was a nice touch. Highly recommended.
