OMG what an absolute RIP OFF this place is. Ordered delivery, paid for extra meat, did not get extra meat. The roasted pork is literally half inedible gristle. Same for the duck. The thinnest, chintziest, most ridiculously thin layer of rice underneath. I'm embarrassed for whoever made this. They should feel shame.
My family have a big party today so we ordered whole pig crispy & 6 boxes duck Salad Vietnamese style, & everyone enjoy the food, so crispy & the salad so fresh! The price is very good & reasonable!

First time I tried Pekin Duck here & so surprised because it so fresh , different with China town & cheaper than another the restaurant for pekin duck.
I have been Thai Son when I was a child, every weekend my family will come here for soup, after Covid my family moved to Laval & we did not comeback Thai Son for long time. & today we passed the area & saw Thai Son a lot different, my mom want to try some dish she like, & we never disappointed about Thai Son, the food always fresh, large portions & staff very friendly & patient. Recommend duck soup!
Thai Son is a hidden gem in Montreal. Our family had peking duck, was very delicious. Despite visiting Thai Son many times, I was a bit hesitating to write this review due to reading some of the negative feedbacks because as a a customer, I want to provide fair reviews. Still, my family & I had never experienced bad treatments even though we've come back several times so I think the restaurant definitely deserves a shot to be known by more customers or simply, & especially if you miss & seek authentic peking-style/ Chinese BBQ dishes. Keep in mind Thai Son has been opened for many years so the restaurant's decoration is not the most outstanding compared to many others so the environment won't fail your expectations, however, they've stood still over many years, have concrete dear customers & mostly importantly for culinary, taste speaks, isn't it.
AMAZING tasty crispy pork & roasted duck! My go-to. I've been coming here with my family for more than 20 years & keep going back. This place is well known in asian community. Small family-run business, good people with quick service. Clean, flavor, texture of meats..spot on! Thanks to the mother for her generosity. Definitely recommend

This is one of the few restaurants in Montreal where you can eat this dish.
Thai son serve the best chinese BBQ. Roast duck, BBQ pork, roast flank pork, smoked veal, etc...& a lot of choices of noodles soup!!! Must try!!! Oh & the general tao!!! So good!!!really I eecommand this restaurant!!!
