I thoroughly enjoyed the danouni, & enjoyed the Honey Lamb Gourginette. I have nothing else of note to say. What a unique privilege it is to enjoy Tunisian food in a city like Montreal.
Stopped in on our first evening in the city, the food was excellent & the servers helpful - I knew very little about tunisian food & was grateful for kind explanations of the menu & some cultural context!
Welcoming & warm space to enjoy wonderful Tunisian dishes with friends. Loved everything including the mixed salad, honey lamb & pistachio dessert. Will definitely be back!!
We had the most amazing experience at Terracotta the other night! The staff were so welcoming & passionate about sharing Tunisian cusisine & culture.
Our kids loved the experience as well, the indoor'banquet' seating was luxurious & perfect for little ones!
We got the lamb gargoulette, it was such flavourful dish! It is made in a Terracotta dish over 24 hours so you know it's going to be incredible!
The kids menu is perfect for little ones - great flavour, no spice, & a good variety of things to eat. As adults we even enjoying nibbling of the kid's plate.
Terracotta is a must try - an incredibly unique dining experience that will make you want to go back again & again!
Tunisia was once a French colony, so the cuisine is also deeply influenced by French cuisine. Lamb is a'meat with personality', either you like it or you hate it, there is no middle zone. The clay pot lamb is great, with plenty of ingredients & full of flavor. Tunisian shrimp brik is similar to Taiwan's oyster omelette, which is made with shrimps & soft-boiled eggs, then wrapped in pancakes, salty & delicious.
First time trying Tunisian food. It was tasty & unique. Service was friendly & attentive. We sat outside on the patio.
We stumbled upon Terracotta on a Monday evening, wandering around this fantastic neighborhood. I can't say enough good things about the restaurant. We were new to Tunisian cuisine & were excited for a new experience. It did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious - everything we ordered was so good with very big servings & the service was outstanding - our waitstaff were attentive, informative & friendly. I would highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be back.
Can't believe google didn't recommend this place. Tucked away on a side street, had a nice vibe (with indoor & outdoor seating options), friendly staff, & lovely food. The aesthetic might strike you as italian on first blush, but it is Tunisian. Food is phenomenal & filling!
My wife & I were out for a walk tonight & stopped in front of TerraCotta restaurant to inspect the menu. The co-owner Salim came out to greet us. He was warm & friendly & told us his restaurant featured Tunisian/Italian food. We decided right then to try it.
We began with fried Tunisian puff pastry with egg, mashed potatoes, parsley & tuna. First time we've ever eaten something like this & it was sublime.
For the mains, my wife had lamb on a bed of couscous & chick peas...Delicious.
I had lamb on a bed of cooked veggies on top of mashed potatoes. Just before being served the waiter poured a very small glass of honey on it, followed by a very small glass of pistachio pieces...again sublime!
Terracotta combines lovely service, the warmth of Salim, & new taste sensations.
