for the lunch period review --
price is not bad. but theres not that much selection for lunch. no tuna sashimi, lots of fried rolls. when we got near the end, we still had some thing ordered, but the waiter said the kitchen is going to close so to order more now or order ice cream because there will be no ice cream in 5 minutes. We said okay lets just get ice cream & get the bill.
alas, ice cream comes, & then 2 mins later an order of sushi arrives we forgot about. but then we stated since we just ate ice cream & the store is closing can you pack it up? he said no, he will charge 5$. But then why give ice cream before it? Youre going to throw it out anyways so why not just give it for the inconvenience... oh well, he just threw out the sushi instead of charging us 5$.
Toujours un plaisir de manger chez Taiyo. La nourriture est très bonne, les sashimis au saumon sont épaisses & savoureuses, beaucoup de choix végétariens aussi. Merci beaucoup à notre serveur William qui a rendu notre soirée encore meilleure par son service & son humour. 5*

I have tried most AYCE sushi around Montreal & this one is so far the best. The service is fast & pleasant. The food is delicious with a lot of variety. Great sashimis - one the things I look at. I would suggest to book a reservation for weekends or on weekdays for groups. My favorite place for sushi 💛
I've been to Taiyo when it used to be called that on st-denis in Montreal. It's my go to ayce sushi. I don't know if they are related but I decided to try this one in Longueuil & it did not disappoint! Their menu looked identical to me.
I forgot to take pictures but my favourite is definitely the torched salmon nigiri. The fish tasted fresh, the rice was really good & the avocados were excellent. We tried multiple rolls, I am not a fan of roles but it's only 4 pieces which is nice to try without getting full when you are 3-4 people. My favourite roll was the salmon avocado. We mostly enjoy the torched salmon nigiri & salmon sashimi. 🍣
We didn't have a reservation but the waiter was super friendly & we didn't wait too long to get a table. Service was excellent, our order came at a good pace.

Très bon, service rapide en majorité, excepté pour les sashimis qui ont pris vraiment beaucoup de temps (comparé à d'autres AYCE), pour 50 morceaux & mauvaise quantité (50 au lieu de 100).
On utilise des iPad pour commander ce qui est très pratique, pas besoin de scanner de code avec son téléphone, ça fait changement.
J'ai payé environ ~44$ avec une boisson gazeuse & 15% de tip. Pour un prix initial de ~29$.
Très satisfait en grande partie & le propriétaire est très gentil, serviable & sympathique.
La bouffe est variée, très délicieuse, une seule fois le sashimi était un peu moins frais que d'habitude mais c'est une exception, globalement la bouffe est superbe. Le service est aussi bon, rarement serveuses étaient un petit grincheuses mais rien d'inquiétant. 9,5/10 j'ai testé une vingtaine & c'est le meilleur pour moi.
Best place for all you can eat Japanese food. The variety of choices is impressive even in the (cheaper, more restricted) lunch menu. Service is always kind & efficient. Their salmon sashimi is the best I've ever had.
The food was subpar at best. There was no flavour to the fish which was disappointing when we asked for sashimi, it was bland. The tuna nigiri was so chewy! The tuna maki was half filled with salmon, which we only noticed at the end ( that's how little to no flavour each fish had). The the spicy salmon sushi tasted all, was not spicy & the tempura tasted old & wasn't crunchy. It was so loud & tight in the restaurant too. We were not impressed to say the least, will not go back.
