We had a hankering for some tacos & randomly picked Tacos Maya from a number of taco restaurants in the area based on the good reviews. We were certainly happy with the food as it was vibrant & delicious! We had the chips & guacamole, beef birria & cochinata pork tacos which were all fantastic. Highly recommended!
Un petit coin du Mexique à quelques pas du métro Mont Royal...
L établissement est petit, propre & bien décoré selon la thématique mexicaine. Le personnel est très sympathique & la nourriture est abordable (à portée de bourse pour un lunch sur le pouce!)
J y ai mangé les meilleurs tacos birria de toute mon existence. Viande tendre, garnitures généreuses, bouillon savoureux. Un mélange parfait d épices, de faicheur & de fromage fondu. Je recommande de les commander all dressed.
Avec un peu d imagination: Il manquait juste d avoir les pieds dans le sable, un cocktail à la main & de se laisser bercer par le bruit des vagues pour se retrouver dans une tienda en bord de plage quelque part au Mexique!
J y retournerai assurément & ce dans les plus brefs delais ( j en suis accro!!)
Probamos el Burrito de Rib Eye y unos tacos de Birria. Todo estuvo muy rico y bien servido. Precio justo por la comida. Excelente servicio de los chicos
The birria & al pastor tacos were phenomenal, best I've had in Montreal. The dulce de leche churros are also a must order. They came warm & were truly great. Would highly recommend this spot.
I was craving birria tacos last night & I came across this place on instagram reels. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, the flavor was immaculate & just bursts into your mouth from the first bite. The churros were a treat as well! It was really well packaged & reasonably priced. I totally recommend if you're looking for some good, juicy birria tacos or any Mexican dish.

WOW ! All I can say is wow ! Karan was an absolute pleasure & helpful with recommendations. My friend got the steak tacos & I got the beef birria tacos & I devoured them. So flavourful, such a perfect portion & the ambiance & vibe are super comfortable too. Come here for tacos.
This place has the bones of a fantastic taqueria. The highlight was the ribeye tacos, charred & toasted perfectly. The salsas are nice & the guy who seems to be running the place is a lovely person.
It's pretty new so I'm hoping my complaints are just because they are getting into their groove but:
- it's my second visit & it's just a bit inconsistent even on the same day. Sometimes it's toasted sometimes soggy this goes for the char on the ribeye as well
- the birria also suffers from this - needs to be crispier
- the pastor was mediocre - nothing like what you get in New York or Mexico City from
a proper trumpo
- the ventilation is terrible so be ready to walk out smelling like you can be eaten
- otherwise it was solid, I'm hoping to come back & try their burritos as well as letting them figure out their systems cause it was pretty disjointed but understandable since they have only been open for a few weeks
Listen to me. The food there is magical. I had 2 birria tacis, 2 rib-eye tacos, 2 grilled chicken tacos. & I thought I was done ? I wasn't. I added one birria burrito & 3 nutella churros. Everything was beyond exceptional. Did I mention the food was magical ? It is unreal, I did not know mouths could have orgasms until tonight. Go there & thank me later.

Highlyyyy recommend!! Extremely inviting owner & great costumer service, was very accommodating after a small misunderstanding. Food was amazingggg, the best birria tacos, tender meat. New renovated, im honestly impressed. Definitely my to go place now when walking in Mont-Royal.
