The French girl at the reception was really nice & polite, super helpful since it was our first time eating there, my girlfriend & I. We ordered:
- 3 sets of 5 sushi choices (not even the premium options)
- 1 calamari appetizer
- 2 drinks
Total came to $97.
I was a bit surprised by the price, but after checking the menu, I noticed they had some creative selections. The place looked nice (even though we ordered takeout), so I figured,'Alright, it's pricey, but it might be worth it.' I don't mind paying more for good food.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The calamari came in small, thin pieces-definitely not enough for two people, especially at around $15. & the sushi? Just not to our taste. The combos didn't work, the texture was dry, & a few pieces fell apart the moment we picked them up. Very underwhelming.

I'm not a sushi expert, & neither is my girlfriend-she's Taiwanese & has had her fair share, like I have-but we both agreed this one missed the mark.
But hey, to each their own.

Found this place because I needed a quick option for food & sushi shop was closed. It was a great find! While the prices are a bit steep, you will definitely notice it in the quality of the food. For conviene we ordered 2 chef combos to go, & they were ready immediately. I could tell it was fresh, made daily. The combos had a good variety of options. Of note, the cashier told us they have 25% off for the makifolie during the summer (2024). So, that was a nice suprise to us. One box easily fed my mom & I (we might have smaller appetites but it was perfect for take out). Will be coming back! (Sorry for the presentation of the food in the pics, we were hungry)

Merveilleux combos, plusieurs choix, des choix du chef vraiment intéressants & le prix des vins plus que raisonnables. Un beau resto, une nourriture très très fraîche & des sushis différents (dans le sens positif du terme). Bravo à l'équipe de sushi taxi Laval, c'était parfait 😍
