About us
Steakhouse St-Charles offers a cozy and simple atmosphere that is distinguished by its warmth. It is renowned for its prime rib au jus, slowly cooked, covered with mustard and spices and served with its aromatic jus. Steakhouse St-Charles is also known for its many different fish tartare and red meats. Other menu items are tenderly grilled on charcoal and specialty choices offered by the house are vast: such as the filet mignon, chateaubriand & flambéed steak. The menu also includes delicious seafood, sesame crusted tuna, butterfly prawns, grilled shrimp, ribs and some of our sautéed pasta prepared the St. Charles' way. A typical evening at Steakhouse St-Charles consists of a delicate appetizer, a hearty meal, a light or sweet dessert and a coffee flambéed at your table. The service is attentive, friendly and warm. The wine list is complete and includes more than 75 choices, which contains a large selection of privately imported wines and a selection of wines with SAQ prices + $10. It was great as always. Our server was tremendous, the service was great & it was so good to get back to our favorite restaurant during these "pandemic" times.
Still the best roast beef north of the St Lawerence River!!!!

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. I ordered the filet mignon medium & it came well done. I mentioned this when asked & nothing was done about it. A good steak house should never make that mistake! It is the backbone of their reputation to cook a filet correctly. As well the vegetables served with the filet were not varied but overcooked red peppers only! I was also charged for a few chopped green onions for the baked potato!
We were also concerned because we were seated at a table for two & shortly after another couple were seated back to back- so close that the man could not get in to the chair without bumping my husband. They were only moved after I mentioned how close they were to us!
Overall the restaurant seems busy but I'm not sure why. It is quite expensive- way too expensive for the quality of the food served. We went there because we were given a gift certificate for a wedding present.
We will not return & we will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

via Libro3è ou 4è fois en + ou - 2 ans & les repas toujours aussi délicieux. Malgré les inconvénients du Covid. l'ambiance était tout autant chaleureuse. Par contre pour moi ce qui fait d'une soirée agréable est le service. Je dois dire que Mlle Marjo est une 5 étoiles par elle-même, vraiment apprécié son attitude & service. Merci
