The fresh & hot sesame bagels were the best I've ever had! The team are really helpful as it was our first time, they have various types of cream cheeses catering for vegan & lactose free with smoked salmon & various spreads in the fridge & a table you can quickly create your own bagel. We brought capers, red onion & sat at a nearby park for a picnic. Smashed them so quickly we didn't take any other photos 😂 try & time it for the fresh hot sesame bagels! Also tried the blueberry, raisin, rosemary & everything bagel (prob my least fave). I froze our leftovers & am still eating them on our trip 😍 Thank you!View more
St-Viateur Bagel is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bagels hits you, promising a delightful experience. The bagels here are nothing short of perfection - crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, & with just the right amount of flavor. The staff are incredibly friendly & efficient, making sure every visit is a pleasant one. The variety of bagels & spreads available caters to every taste, & each bite is a testament to the quality & tradition that St-Viateur Bagel is known for. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place is a must-visit for the best bagels in town. Highly recommended!View more
We went on a tour of Mile End & we stopped here. The bagels were great! It was my first Montreal bagel, & needless to say, it won't be my last. If you are a New Yorker, you'll find the bagels sweeter than NY bagels & the toppings wrap around the entire bagel instead of just the top. The inside is nice & roomy with great views of the oven & the workers making them. 10/10!View more

A small store, the bagels were super fresh & delicious. We like Montreal style bagels' slightly sweet, less salty & more chewy nature. We enjoyed the bagels with the Tre Stelle cream cheese, a fantastic cream cheese of the Denmark. We withdrew cash at the ATM in their store when we saw "cash only".View more
Small location baking bagels only. No sandwiches made. Buy your own cream cheese from the refrigerated section, grab a bag of amazing bagels, & enjoy! The fresh sesame seed bagels when warm are amazing!View more
Melhor bagel que já comi, mas somente o simples, de gergelim, os demais estavam duros.View more
Très intéressant de découvrir que les bagels sont fabriqués sur place devant vos yeux. Ils sont délicieux !View more
Absolutely perfect. Got some bagels & were probably the greatest I have ever had. Great service too.View more
They don't cut the bagel for you but the bagel was good...View more
Classic example of Montreal style bagels & my favourite place for bagels. Your order will always be fresh baked bagels as they are constantly baking batches but if you can time it right (or ask politely) you can get ones that are fresh from the wood baked oven. They have a few varieties (like blueberry) but the classics are poppy seed & sesame.View more
A staple of mild end! A must try, warm bagel fresh out of the oven! Nothing like it!View more
Got a fresh hot sesame bagel & I personally thought it was great. I loved the slightly chewy texture inside & the slight crunch outside. There was a line but it moves pretty fast. Pick up some cream cheese or other toppings from the fridges on the side & pay for them in the front with your bagel order. There's another location not too far from this one & I'd probably just go to the one with the shorter line next time. Bring cash!View more
St-Viateur bagels is an overrated tourist trap Honestly do not get the hype. Like sure Montréal style bagels may be worth buying in a grocery store for their potentially unique style / flavour but this store is not worth it. First red flag for me is them being cash only. Now I tend to carry quite a bit of cash & prefer paying by cash many times - way more than the average person; & yet I was taken aback. & sure I get small businesses not wanting to pay potentially exorbitant credit card fees. But these guys ain't a small business - they are an overrated tourist trap. The cash only at this stage just to me screams money laundering & tax evasion (via undeclared income). Heck they don't even have a cash register. They were just scribbling stuff on a pad. Like if I was a CRA / RQ officer & I saw this I'd be calling for a complete audit immediately Second was the lack of service & rudeness. You'd think a bagel shop at the very least would butter it. But no, I asked for bagel with butter & the cashier, in a sarcastic tone said that I can buy (!!) butter (at inflated prices) & that "we don't make sandwiches here" They can't even do basic services of a bagel shop, instead relying on being a tourist trap. Finally, they clearly run an (show) assembly line where bagels are being made. But they are not seeking their fresh ones to customers that is for sure. The bagels did not taste fresh out of the oven at all, despite what talk & assembly line process will have you believe. It tasted meh & a bit stale to be honestView more
