Fast & friendly service. Freshly baked sesame bagels came right out of the oven when we got there ordered a dozen of those & 1/2 dozen mixed. Many different bagels to choose fromView more
I had to try a Montréal bagel before I left! I got cinnamon raisin.View more
Get the fresh out of oven bagel, others get hard fastView more
We looked for the best bagel 🥯 in Montreal & this popped out. The sasame one was the best. They provide one-time use cutlery & cream cheese to buy & eat with the bagels.View more
I found St. Viateur's bagels to be overrated. The hot & fresh poppy seed was not bad, & the cold sesame had a good flavor, but in general the cold bagels were hard & void of much flavor. I made this a central place to visit during my time in the city, & I definitely wouldn't next time. I don't know if I came on an off day, or if this style just falls far short of the NYC style. A reminder that it's cash only, & take-out only. My favorite aspect of the bakery is the quaint atmosphere, & you're not really able to enjoy it because of the nature of the line & it being take-out only.View more
The oldest & also the most famous montreal's bagel shop... & its just perfect. Fresh, just baked, bagels at every hour of the day. From the classics (1,25 $ each) to more elaborated (1,40 $ each). Its out from the main turist location (you will need a car) but its a must stop if you pass in Montreal. You will find also cheese, cream to spread, drinks & souvenirs inside. No place to eat on site.View more
Excellent bagels. I had a salmon on a blueberry bagel who'd of thought that combination could be so good!View more
Great food & staff. Love these bagels. Cannot get better than this.View more
View more
Local feel, quick service Bagels are worth the hype. Even better back at home, well toasted with butter. Light, crunchy, airy, sweet, doughy in the middle. Wish I got more. Get the well dressedView more
Lovely breakfast spot ! Their bagels are amazing ! We'll recommend this location & definitely worth the wait !View more
No se puede comer allí, para llevar. Solo cash, la comida regu.View more
WARNING - they only take cash. We took a 20-minute Uber without realizing this & I only had my credit card. They have an ATM on-site so I used my credit card but had to pay extra cash advance fees. Posting this so others know - bring cash or your ATM card. Staff were very friendly & apologetic. They had the sesame bagels warm out of the oven & they were good (tasted good but nothing outstanding). Their maple & apple bagel was interesting (good & unique) & their pretzel-salt bagel was good too.View more
Which bagel is better, the age old question of two bagel shops in Montreal. The answer, personal preference. Both places are fresh out of the oven, both places are cash only, both places has a huge line, & in both places, you feel rushed to get out of there because you're holding people up. If you prefer a softer bagel with a sweeter, honey infused taste, go to Fairmount, if you want a crispier outside & a more bland mouth-feel, come here to St-Viateur. I give it a solid 3 out of 5, good bagel, nothing to write home about. if they accepted credit, I'll give an extra 0.5 points. like come on guys, you're already charging 1.25$ for a basic bagel, & 6.25$ for a tiny tub of Philly cream cheese, that's more than enough to cover the credit card fee.View more
