Au cours de sa tournée nord-américaine, la Superstar grecque Mihalis Hatzigiannis a découvert Melina Mammas, une jeune chanteuse grecque canadienne, fille de Lawrence Mammas, et a été invitée à dîner à La Belle & La Boeuf où il a été tellement impressionné par le groupe qu’il a proposé un partenariat pour apporter une cuisine authentique grecque Souvlaki, avec un concept Foodtastic à Montréal. Voilà que Souvlaki Bar est né, ouvrant notre premier magasin le 12 septembre 2014. Plus de 5000 personnes ont assisté à la grande fête d’ouverture où Mihalis et Melina ont joué à l’extérieur devant plusieurs fans heureux. A chaque fois que j'y retourne je me dit que sa vas etre meilleure que ce n'étais qu'une mauvaise journée pour le cuisinier...& a chaque fois je regrette ...Mon plat etait tiède, les frites semblait pas récemment faites, le riz etait moyen & dommage qu'il n'est pas une deuxième option de vinaigrette pour la salade. Personnellement j'aime manger très chaud.
Eh…I was a bit disappointed when we decided to come here for lunch. My partner & I are in town from NYC visiting family in the hospital so, we decided that this would be a good option for the day.
Once we arrived, I was impressed by the style of the place & the music…very inviting BUT there was no one working!! There were two tables that looked like they completed their food so, we waited for a few minutes…still NO ONE! No host/hostess or server…we walked towards the back of the restaurant & saw inside the kitchen…NO ONE! Suddenly, another couple walks in (about 5-8 minutes later) & then a guy walks out from the back looking like he had just waken up & was half sleep.
We decided to be seated. I ordered the Filet de Sole & sadly, it was not very good. The fish was SO BLAND & extremely fish-y tasting…I put salt on it which I NEVER use salt on my food. The salad dressing was not that good either. I would've preferred a simple oil, vinaigrette.
Needless to say, when I'm in Montreal I probably won't be dining here again. Although, I did like the Greek music & the photos on the wall!

Bonjour j'ai commander aujourd'hui, les portions etait pas comme d'habitude,cela mas coûter plus de 55$ , un pita, une salade ,une portion de gateau,j'ai commander un gâteau il etait comme lancer dans sa boite , rien a voir avec limage présentée, vraiment déçu.....
Première visite & ce ne sera pas la dernière. Repas pita savoureux. La salade était parfaite. La viande est goûteuse. Les prix sont très raisonnable & service chaleureux.
Food portions are huge & so well seasoned! I love the variety in the plates: salad, rice, potatoes, meat, pita... you get it all! Their fried potatoes are sooo good: crispy on the outside & it melts on the inside! The house potatoes are good too, but the fried ones are to kill for.
