About

Sopoong specializes in authentic Korean comfort food with a primary emphasis on crispy, double-fried chicken served in a variety of savory glazes. The menu features traditional staples such as bibimbap, stews, and savory pancakes designed for communal sharing. Each serving of chicken is prepared to order, ensuring a distinct crunch that characterizes the signature preparation technique of this cuisine. The culinary focus remains centered on bold, fermented flavors and the balance of textures essential to Korean home-style cooking. Patrons find a selection of side dishes that complement the primary protein options, emphasizing freshness and traditional spices. The setting prioritizes a straightforward dining atmosphere that highlights the depth of the seasoned poultry and rice-based entrées. Consistent preparation methods maintain the profile of these classic dishes throughout the entire menu selection.

The food here is so good that the biggest challenge is to choose what I want more... The bulgogi soup with those perfect noodles & that broth that warms the soul? The fried chicken with that insanely delicious onion mayo bridge to the next plane of existence? Who am I kidding, I just get both every time & just enjoy the leftovers the next day which are somehow just as good.

I had a disappointing experience with Sopoong. An Uber driver was denied access to the washroom, which felt quite unreasonable. Drivers spend long hours on the road providing a service to customers, & basic human courtesy like allowing restroom use should be expected. It reflects poorly on the business when simple compassion is lacking. I hope management reconsiders this policy & treats all individuals with more respect & understanding in the future.

Absolutely loved this Korean restaurant! The food was bursting with authentic flavors-from the perfectly seasoned bulgogi to the rich, comforting kimchi stew. The banchan were fresh & plentiful, & everything tasted homemade & thoughtfully prepared. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, & the staff was warm & attentive. The cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Definitely a go-to spot for Korean food cravings-can't wait to come back!
