I drove to Laval because of the good reviews, which I don't get to be honest. I have to say that I lived in Turkey & Im very familiar with the Turkish cuisine, but still looking for a good Turkish restaurant in Montreal region to steel my heart. Unfortunately, not this one. I liked the bread & the eggplant spread. Generous portions but not properly seasoned, greasy & lack of taste. The service was good & everything was coming fast, which is really nice for the province standards. Luck of ambulance like most of the Turkish places. Unfortunately, not going back .
The meats were perfectly cooked & tender, the pita bread & lahmacun were delicious, the döner kebab was , & the salt & spice balance was just right. Thank you to Chef Nadir & Chef Muhammet, & also to Chefs ?ehmus & Cengiz. Everything was delicious, I will come again.
Well let's be real. You must be diabetic to enjoy a meal with no flavor. Sorry to say but pictures look amazing but the sauces for the bread which are I guess cucumber yogurt & beets yogurt left me wondering if I should add salt pepper. Took the big platter for 4 people & switched the salad to more rice. Rice was hard & soft depends on ur fork full with no taste. No salt ! Meats wowow apart from the oil base red marinate sauce was tasteless. There is no spices of any kind. Music was loud & not everyone likes Turkish music. 4 waitresses not really looking at tables although they stand 10 feet away. Restaurant was full..I guess the hype of a new place. It was with tip $142. Not cheap !! Needs improvement.

I've ordered from them three times through Uber Eats. The first time, I ordered a sandwich & selected lettuce in the options, but when it arrived it was basically just meat, oil, & bread. There were no vegetables at all, so it felt very heavy & greasy.
The second time, I ordered the plate for two & it was really good. I had asked for rice but received bulgur instead. Since everything tasted great, I didn't bother complaining.
Yesterday, I ordered the same plate again & it was disappointing. This time they sent rice as requested, but it was very undercooked. Since the rice makes up most of the plate, we couldn't really eat it. The chicken also seemed off. It had a strange bluish color in some spots & felt dry & crusty. It definitely didn't seem as fresh as the chicken from my previous order. We ended up not eating much of it (chicken & the rice) because we didn't want to risk getting sick. Otherwise the meat was good.
I don't know what happened with this last order because my previous experience was really good. That's why I say this place is hit or miss. When it's good, it's really good, but the quality doesn't seem very consistent. Especially for the price we pay.. i think they should have a better quality control on food they send out.
Excellent food & outstanding service! Sofra Kebab is one of the best places in Laval for authentic Turkish cuisine. We ordered both the Full Platter & the Half Platter, & both were absolutely delicious. The meats were perfectly grilled, tender, juicy, & packed with flavor. The rice, fresh salad, & warm bread complemented the meal perfectly.
The portions were very generous, especially the Full Platter, which is great for sharing or for anyone with a big appetite. The Half Platter was also an excellent size & offered great value. Everything tasted fresh & homemade.
The restaurant was clean, welcoming, & had a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, & provided excellent customer service from start to finish.
If you're looking for authentic Turkish food with generous portions & amazing flavors, Sofra Kebab is a must-visit in Laval. Highly recommended-we'll definitely be back!
I will begin by mentioning that the service at Sofra kebab was very hospitable. My friend & I were craving a good Turkish restaurant & this satisfied us excellently.
The restaurant has a more casual, grab & go vibe but nevertheless there are still tables you can sit at.
We ordered a beef doner sandwich as well as the lahmajoune. We both found that the lahmajoune had a noticeable lamb flavor, so it wasn't something I'd order again, but the doner was to die for!
The restaurant also brought out complimentary Turkish bread with 2 dipping sauces on the house, which was a nice touch.
I will definitely be returning as the experience & the quality of food was highly enjoyable.
Amazing Turkish BBQ experience! The food was absolutely delicious - perfectly grilled meats, juicy kebabs, & rich, authentic flavors that really take you to Türkiye 🔥. Everything tasted fresh & well-seasoned, especially the lamb & chicken BBQ.
The portions were generous, the bread was warm & soft, & the sides were on point. Service was very friendly & welcoming even I had a take away,the manager insisted to have me try some side dishs once I start asking , the atmosphere was cozy & clean. You can tell they care about quality.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Turkish barbecue. I'll definitely be coming back!
The restaurant had a wonderful & welcoming atmosphere that immediately made us feel comfortable. The staff were extremely kind, polite, attentive, & truly professional, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious & full of flavor. The Adana kebab was outstanding & honestly the best kebab I have ever had - perfectly cooked, juicy, & incredibly flavorful.
The fresh, hot bread was amazing & paired beautifully with the food. The appetizers were excellent, especially the yogurt, which was unbelievably good & tasted very fresh & authentic. Everything felt carefully prepared & high quality.
Without a doubt, this is the best Turkish restaurant in Montreal. The combination of atmosphere, service, & food was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back again & again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic & delicious Turkish cuisine.
I was looking for a Turkish restaurant & accidentally found this place. It seems quite new & had very good ratings, so I decided to give it a try.
When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't too busy, which made the experience even more pleasant. We ordered an Adana kebab, a cheese pide, & one lahmacun.
Before the main dishes arrived, the staff kindly brought us traditional Turkish bread, which was absolutely delicious, along with two small bowls - one with yogurt & another with a classic Turkish kebab side.
The food was incredibly tasty & well prepared. Everything reminded me of authentic restaurants in Istanbul. The chef was also a very kind & welcoming person.
I will definitely come back for these amazing dishes. Highly recommended!
The food was amazing!! Even though i never went to turkey but at sofra kebab you enjoy the taste of turkey in every bite ! I took the adana chicken, the rice was tasty, the chicken super juicy & the bread Oh My God i cant describe the amazing taste of bread!!! Me & my sister actually ate 3 baguette's 🤣🤣🤣
I cant wait to go back again!!
