Honnêtement, je suis vraiment déçu. La nourriture n'avait absolument aucun goût, comme si tout avait été préparé à la va-vite sans aucune attention. La viande était sèche, les accompagnements étaient froids & sans saveur. Côté hygiène, c'est encore pire… les tables étaient sales, le sol collant & ça donnait vraiment pas confiance pour la cuisine. On s'attend à un minimum de propreté dans un restaurant, mais ici c'est clairement pas le cas. Franchement, je ne recommande pas du tout.
I had a concerning experience regarding food safety. I observed a staff member handling Raw chicken (Shawarma) with gloves & then using the same gloves to prepare the sandwich without changing them!!!!. If I had not noticed & spoken up, I would have unknowingly eaten potentially contaminated food while being pregnant. It is the restaurant's responsibility to follow basic food safety standards & prevent cross-contamination without needing customers to point it out.
Sofra Kebab in Laval is clearly a place that draws people in-it's busy, full of energy, & the staff are genuinely friendly & welcoming. You can tell there's passion behind what they do, & that always makes a difference.
The food itself was enjoyable. Well-prepared, nicely presented, & overall satisfying. It's the kind of place you're glad you tried, & I'm thankful for the experience.
That said, there are a few important areas that need attention-especially when it comes to cleanliness & organization. Some tables were not properly set, utensils seemed inconsistently placed across different tables, & overall there was a lack of attention to detail in the dining area.
What stood out most to me was a concern regarding food safety: seeing some of the kebab spits stored on a shelf very close to the floor raised questions about hygiene & potential contamination. This is something that should be addressed with care & urgency.
With just a bit more focus on cleanliness, consistency, & detail, this place could easily move from good to excellent.

Le sandwich manquait de condiments & la viande de kebab dans le sandwich avait pas vraiment de gout. Les frites congeles aucun gout sans sel franchement decu du trio sandwich. Le seul point positif c'est le pain qui semble etre fait maison.
Very confusing & disappointing service . My family (5 ppl ) came in to dine today & we got seated immediately which was great, but It took us multiple tries to ask for water & when they brought the water , they gave no cups (1st pic) so we waited for like 10 mins with no cups. When she brought the cups, she only got us 3 ?? when we asked for 2 more the waiter never came back. My mom asked for the cups like ten times but when no one came back w them she gave up. Which was incredibly frustrating. We ended up just sharing the 3 cups….. Unfortunate, because the food was good. Chicken wings were well seasoned but some areas tasted very burnt. U could find better elsewhere though. One more thing I noticed was a lot of people coming in & not enough seating inside , at some point , this random family sat directly on our table while waiting for seating which was super annoying & disrespectful (wish I was joking). Learn manners people. & you guys should have a separate pickup spot, not directly in our faces while we eat. The small parking also was an issue. I feel like situations like these is where u really feel corporate greed where it's money over comfort.
My first time at a Turkish restaurant & I was completely blown away! 😍 The food was insanely delicious & full of flavor, & the döner 🌯 was hands down the best I've had in Canada. The place has so much character & generosity. Warm welcome & impeccable service! ❤? I'm officially a huge fan of Turkish cuisine! ✨

Les plats sont incroyablement savoureux, préparés avec soin & pleins de goût. Chaque bouchée était un plaisir ! En plus, les prix sont vraiment abordables par rapport à d'autres restaurants, ce qui rend l'expérience encore meilleure.
Un excellent rapport qualité-prix, une ambiance agréable & un service au top. Je recommande les yeux fermés !
