It is also a look at the past with a contemporary and innovative vision inspired by the new American brewing tradition.The tasting room, annexed to the brewery, is a friendly, eclectic but above all open-minded place where difference will be welcome and homogeneity excluded. A place to taste a variety of beers and dishes as simple as they are sought after, made from local ingredients.

I recently visited Sir John's & had a fantastic time. The highlight was definitely their selection of beers; both the pilsner & the milk stout were exceptional with distinct, robust flavors that beer aficionados will appreciate. The service was friendly & efficient, making us feel welcome right from the start. The patio also deserves a mention for its pleasant ambiance, perfect for enjoying a drink outdoors. Highly recommend for a relaxed evening out!

Visited on October 12, 2019, in the afternoon. It has been just over a decade since the only brewery of any kind in this town, Les Brasseurs Qui Fument, was closed, so it's a very re welcome addition to the Laurentien beer scene. Located in the heart of downtown Lachute, just a few 100 meters east from the first brewpub, it was a clothing store, between a church & restaurant. The brewpub is named after Sir John Johnson, 2nd Baronet of New York, he was a Loyalist leader during the American Revolution, British Loyalist/provincial military officer, a politician in Canada & a wealthy landowner, he owned the seigneurie of Argenteuil (which Lachute was part of). A very comfortable pub, farley large terrasse with the view of the bustling main street, cosy interior & easy access. Nice little tap selection for a young brewery, although mostly pale ales, I went for the stout which was good. They do have food but I only had some nuts. Very good service. & improvement from the first brewpub!
