The story of SHNOOPI begins with our family, steeped in the culinary heritage of the Mediterranean countries. We grew up in Egypt, travelling a lot around other countries with whom we share the crystal blue water filled Sea, such as Italy, Greece, Lebanon, France, etc. As long as we can remember, our cuisine has always been inspired by a lot of these countries’ flavors, mixing ingredients in untraditional ways, yet representing all cultures in a harmonious way. When creating SHNOOPI, we wanted to represent and honor that heritage, as well as share the food we grew up eating with our clients.

In fact, the name SHNOOPI stands for our family’s nickname. So don’t be surprised if you here us calling each other SHNOOPI in the kitchen!

We stopped in on our way from Notre Dame for a quick take out sandwich. Staff was very courteous & friendly. We shared the signature Shnoopi sandwich & it was really good. Would certainly recommend.

This is such a lovely casual gem. Hand-crafted sandwiches, some pasta choices, dips, salads & an amazing rice pudding (almost as good as my mother's kheer). We were staying at the Westin & this was only a block away in old Montreal. Sometimes you just need honest, simple & delicious food & Shnoopi fits the bill. There's a modest wine/beer list - which fits the food menu perfectly. Loving & friendly service.

SO good. After a week of eating out, it was wonderful to find a healthy place with tons of veggies :) the food was incredibly fresh & appropriately priced. We'd come back again in a heartbeat if we lived in Montreal.

I ate the tuna salad & the shrimp sandwich. Both were good. But I don't know why you would have a hot sandwich with cold shrimps. While the ingredients & bread were hot, the shrimps were cold. If that's the way you guys serve it, not my taste. Verdict : give it a try.

Un petit spot tranquille près du Vieux Port. Le restaurant propose énormément de sandwichs & salades tous faits maison. Nous y sommes allés pour goûter les lobster rolls qui étaient incroyablement bons, & bien moins chers qu'à New York ! Le riz au lait était également à tomber par terre. Le personnel est super sympa. Bref, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !

Staff is very kind & accommodating. Food is solid though portions can be rather small. The coffee needs an upgrade though, I think they just have a Nespresso that runs pods. If you're calling yourself a cafe... I would expect a better coffee experience, particularly in a city like Montreal.
