Gluten-free? Triple-check your order.

I know mistakes happen, & I don't leave reviews lightly. 🙏🏽

I was served regular bread after ordering gluten-free despite a wheat allergy. The staff apologized sincerely & assured me the sandwich would be comped, which I appreciated.

But when it came time to pay, I was told they only meant the bread would be free. After having to explain that this mistake meant two days of pain, it became clear the seriousness of food allergies wasn't fully understood.

If someone tells you they have an allergy, please treat it like the medical issue it is.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Shnoopi!! Had their specialty sandwich & enjoyed every bite :) Ingredients were super fresh, & the bread was amazing!

Sandwiches were good & they were able to accommodate a gluten allergy which I really appreciate.

However, there was an awkward customer service experience. I originally ordered a sandwich on gluten-free bread, but several minutes later I was told they actually could not make that sandwich gluten free & was asked to reorder something else instead. That part was understandable, & I appreciated them letting me know.

A few minutes after that, I was then asked to come back again because they had forgotten to charge me the extra $3 for the gluten-free bread. I don't really mind paying for it, but having to repeatedly come back to fix ordering & payment issues made the experience feel disorganized & inconvenient.

The employee helping me seemed very new & was very apologetic, so I do not blame them personally. My concern was more with the management side. A manager was present during the interactions, & it felt like more support or guidance could have helped prevent the confusion & made the experience smoother for everyone.

Had to try this place & went with the Chicken Tahini; although now thinking about it… probly not their best seller.
The sandwich fell really short for me; bread was ok at most but the Great Value pre cooked chicken breast slices & the one slice of tomato drench in good ol' plain tahini was a sad sight.
Ingredients listed on the menu make it look appetizing but reality hit different.
Would sadly not recommend this place.
Wishing you guys the best but for 20$ … Ciccio is way better in term of quality.

I have Celiac & genuinely had the BEST gluten free sandwich I've ever eaten here!

The gluten free bread is SO good, & everything in the sandwich tasted incredible as well!

I will be returning ASAP! Dreaming of that sandwich until then ;)

I just had the creamy chicken soup, & it was hands down the best chicken soup I ever had. It came with 3 little pieces of bread as well, for a reasonable price.

Sorry it took me so long to write this review! I was there late last year.

We absolutely loved Shnoopi.

As a Coeliac, I struggle to find places that can properly accommodate a full gluten free experience. Shnoopi had me covered. Not only does their gluten free bread TASTE LIKE ACTUAL DELICIOUS BREAD, the fillings were also delicious. Highly recommended.

What they do so well is focus on the basics, but make them as tasty as possible. I came back three days in a row on a trip to Montreal that lasted 6 days.

I ate the:
- Roast beef sandwich 10/10
- Chicken Tahini sandwich 10/10
- Goats cheese sandwich 10/10
- Hot Chocolate 50/10
- Tea 10/10
- Rice Pudding 100/10

What a gift to have found this place, & if I ever come back to Montreal, I will be back to Shnoopi's. It's not a place you can easily forget, just writing this review had me salivating.

Had the roast beef sandwich with gluten free bread & it was incredible, & staff were super friendly. Also, they cleaned all their surfaces so there was no cross contamination.
