The food was amazing & that's what made up for the below average service. Our waitress was not so friendly, did not take the time to check in & make sure we had everything we needed... didn't refill our water etc. Appetizers came separately & 1 of our main dishes was wrong...
Shoutout to the bus boys tho they work hard & carry the team

We booked the reservation 3 weeks in advance, made a note in the reservation that we are from out of town & it was a special occasion, they sat us in a cramped corner next to the dish pit, so it was very loud with crashing dishes through our meal. The waitress was nice but recommended a ton of food even though there was just 2 of us, enough food for at least 6 ppl.
The food may have been good but trying to eat that much was a horrible experience. We ordered champagne which was nice. With tip our meal was 300.00$ for 2 ppl. Which was too much for a sub par dining experience. We will not be back, & we cannot recommend Shay .
Thank you
Excellent service received from our server. Great suggestions for food! Our 12 years old son wanted a Shirley Temple & our server was super accommodating. He was friendly & funny. The food was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone & we will return.
CJA IT's & presentation are great but the shush taouk chicken was dry (we had 2 orders & both same) & the octopus & soujouk dish had very little octopus. At that price I would expect more.
Other than that all was great but would not order those dishes again
Shay does not disappoint. It is one of a kind. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued customers even though it was our first visit. Everything at Shay is top notch. The food & service were extraordinary. The flavours were perfectly combined & each dish was fresh & beautifully plated. 100% recommend. An outstanding restaurant in Montreal. ps Try the Brussels sprouts for a lovely surprise, even if you loathe them.
Everything was perfect apart from the shrimp plate where the shrimps were slightly over cooked. Being an expensive item on the menu, it should have been cooked to perfection. The taste & spices were delicious
I wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. I decided to make a reservation for brunch to celebrate my 24th wedding anniversary. Food was good. Service & ambiance were great! Now my husband's food was a little cold. Mimosas were ok but not too cold. We ordered a side of potatoes which came with ketchup, we ordered an extra ketchup & when we received our bill it was extra $3. Really? For ketchup? On the reservation they asked if is an special occasion & I wrote it was my wedding anniversary, usually restaurants do something. Don't get me wrong I'm not expecting not to pay but at least acknowledge, why ask in the first place?
