I rarely give 5-stars for a review....this one deserves it. Having an Israeli wife, I am no stranger to middle-eastern food, so the standards are high. Starters were Baba Ganoush & Hummus with Shawarma. Both were phenomenal. Great flavors, & beautifully prepared. I had the lamb kebab for my main. The chef's refusal to cook the lamb below medium was quite disappointing, but the falvor was there, even if it was a bit over done. My wife had the armenian kebabs & they were extremely tasty, even if the pita to wrap them was served under & too saturated in oil to work as a wrap. The portion of Sumac fries you get for 9$ was quite plentiful. Would return without hesitation.
•Baklava Pancakes •Lamb Reuben Must get every time. That's the best lamb sandwich. My favorite lamb sandwich ever. The baklava pancakes are one of the best pancakes this city has. Probably my 2nd fav pancakes

Came here based on the many positive reviews & a very positive dinner experience a couple of years back. Asides from the nice ambiance I have to be frank, the food sucks. The hummus & fat ouch were average at best & the rest of the dishes just had so much going on that you forget what you ordered. There is nothing Lebanese or Arab about this food. Who serves naan bread with hummus? You could taste the flour in the bread. There are many fine Lebanese & Syrian breakfast & brunch places in Montreal. I think the owners should pay them a visit & understand exactly what type of cuisine they are trying to serve.
Where to begin... Beautiful & classy restaurant. The waitress with the short hair was the most friendliest & an absolute PRO at her job. My group of friends & I couldn't stop talking at how everything was amazing at this restaurant. Food was incredibly delicious - reasonably priced for the quality The service was excellent - unbelievably fast & professional. I spent most of the evening shazaming all the songs played in the restaurant (if you're into house/afro/oriental music). You won't be disappointed.
The baklava pancakes were amazing. The service was awful. I ordered a coffee from 3 different employee, they still didn't bring the right one ? It was the smallest coffee & half of it was in the little plate underneath. They took forever to serve us as well, the good thing is that we were not in a rush. They messed up with our checks
I don't even know where to start. Absolutely outstanding experience. Everything from the food to drinks to vibe & furthermore the staff. Special thank you to manager Aboudi, server Kat , bartenders Max & Robin. Every interactions, sip or bite I had brought me into the extraordinary Lebanese culinary experience at Shay Griffintown.
We had the pleasure to be served by Pamela. She was very professional & lovely. The service was impeccable & the food was delicious. We will go back soon!
