Everything from the food, the ambiance & the music was well curated & reflected the passion & pride they take in making our experience at Shay unforgettable. L'intérieur est beau & invitant, & la bonne musique chaleureuse rajoute sa note à l'ambiance.
Ayant pris un bon déjeuner ce matin-là, je ne voulais pas manger des oeufs à nouveau, donc la crêpe à la baklava & pistaches. Délicieux!
Le service, quoique les deux serveuses étaient sympathiques, souriantes, il y avait un peu de confusion au moment de payer avec des erreurs sur les factures, qui s'est réglée au final. C'est probablement singulier comme expérience & non habituel, par contre, ce fut l'expérience de mon groupe. Mais. Point d'un point de vue général, je vais définitivement y retourner! Je recommande!
Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday. Huge mistakes. Our service was terrible, constantly forgetting to bring drinks & water. Brought out half of our starters then main dishes, then the other half of our starters. & the chicken, good god, literally sucked the moisture out of my mouth. I had to wash every bite down with water or I would have choked on it. The lamb was alright though.
Believe all the good things you've heard about Shay. They're all true. I went for brunch with two girlfriends...we LOVE good food. I'm vegetarian & was thrilled to see how many meat-free options were not just available but so incredibly satisfying. We shared the hummus (so silky smooth!), muhammara, the mushroom benny (my fave), falafel waffle & the nutella french toast. Everything from the food to the service to the ambiance was 10/10. Will be visiting again for sure! What a gem.

Highly recommended - every dish was packed with flavor. We were a group of six & enjoyed a shared-style meal, which let us try a bit of everything. The lamb chops were the standout for me - perfectly cooked & incredibly tasty. The service was warm, friendly, & impressively fast. A wonderful experience from start to finish!

Très bon & bonne ambiance. Plusieurs choix de cocktails & mocktails. Portions très petites pour le prix par contre, mais ça va avec le type de restaurant. Plusieurs options végétariennes dont un plat d'aubergines avec impossible meat qui était délicieux.
I came to this place recently to try their dishes & it was so amazing! I had tried their dip Mouhamara & the Lamb Kebab with a friend of mine & it was so delicious. I've been craving them ever since. We also got served by this young beautiful lady called Thea, as I recall. She was so lovely & i hope she will be there the next time I visit!
Shay est sans aucun doute le meilleur brunch en ville ! Chaque plat est un véritable régal, avec des ingrédients frais & savoureux. La nourriture était bonne. Les pancakes incroyables!! Chicken & waffles, une première pour mois j'ai adoré.
Par contre, le cappuccino grosse déception.
Le shawarma lamb coûtait fort l'agneau. Pas ça à quoi je m'attendais, je pensais retrouver les épices du shawarma.
On a été oppressée dès le début sur le timing. Nous précisant qu'on avait une heure. Nos plats sont arriver à 11h40 vers 12h on nous a fait comprendre qu'on allait devoir partir.
L'endroit prend les réservations.
Je vous suggère de réserver pour éviter tout inconvénient.
Shay is hands down one of the best dining experiences in the city. Every time I walk through the door, I'm greeted by name, which speaks volumes about their incredible hospitality. The service is always impeccable-warm, attentive, & consistent no matter how busy they are.
& the food? Absolutely outstanding. The lamb shawarma is my go-to, & it never disappoints. Perfectly seasoned, tender, & full of flavor, it's easily the best I've ever had. The consistency in both the food & service is truly unbelievable. The entire team at Shay makes every visit special, & that's why I keep coming back. Highly recommend!

Delicious food at unbeatable prices! I had the chance to try the brunch menu, & it was a total hit-perfectly balanced flavors, generous portions, & beautiful presentation. The warm ambiance & attentive service made the experience even better. I can't wait to come back & try the dinner menu, which looks just as tempting. A must-visit spot!

We went for brunch & although it was a very packed day at the restaurant, the staff was on its feet & took great care of all the customers. We started with regular coffee & orange juice & then moved to the main course. I had Shakshouka while my partner had the Lamb shawarma eggs Benedict & it was beyond delicious & so filling ❤?! We loved the food & cannot wait to come back & try other items on the menu. Highly recommend this 11/10 restaurant for a hangout with friends UPDATE: Went back for brunch & as always very good food with great service MORE UPDATES: Went for dinner & had the hibiscus cocktail, olives, salmon for appetizers, lamb & beef for the main meal followed by the most incredible French toast with ice cream for dessert ❤?❤? As always wonderful service 😇😇
We went for dinner on a Saturday & the food was amazing! The portions were big so we shared. The kibbe naye & hummus with lamb shawarma are a must try for starters, & our favorite dish was the lamb kebab! The mix of flavours was perfect. & it's halal:) Also the servers were nice & the food came really fast! 10/10 experience.
The pancakes are beautiful, & the garnishing is a lovely touch. Unfortunately, their taste does not match their appearance - they were too dry & had a distinctly floury taste/texture, which was disappointing. If you're on the hunt for the best pancakes, I'd recommend trying Arthur's instead. Shay does redeem itself in its ambience & excellent service. Their lamb reuben is both a unique brunch offering & well-made; perhaps a savoury dish is safer to order at Shay? Still, given its inconvenient location & price point, I wouldn't consider Shay worth returning to. But I don't regret our decision to try it: it's worth checking off the list if you got it there!
