Really nice classy brunch spot! Service was great. I split the Baklava pancakes & shawarma eggs benedict. 10/10 Presentation 🙂↕️ Pancakes had amazing toppings, the batter itself was solid but nothing special, & cream wasn't too sweet (the syrup on the side was too much for me though). The pomegranate & halloumi on the eggs really made the dish for me 😋 The lamb slices were not the best. Pretty pricey, but I guess that's the name of the brunch game
Went there for a private celebration. Was disappointed at first since when you book online, you have to pay 50$ per person to guarantee the reservation but I was able to make a booking by phone. The place is little bit worn out but we got a nice table. Unfortunately most of the items you see on their social media are not available, so we had to choose from their lunch menu which is somehow limited. However the food presentation & taste are excellent. Some items needed few adjustments but in general, everything was great. The only thing I will go back to have another time is their dessert the baklava pancake something, oh my god , it is from another world( highly recommended) . The service was very good & friendly , in general I will try again. They charged 15$ for parking which I found somehow strange & the kitchen closes at 15:00 but you still can stay in the resto

•Baklava Pancakes •Lamb Reuben Must get every time. That's the best lamb sandwich. My favorite lamb sandwich ever. The baklava pancakes are one of the best pancakes this city has. Probably my 2nd fav pancakes
Finalement visité cette salle à manger Libanaise. Personnel souriant, service efficace & surtout leur brunch. Benedictine Shawarma généreuses portions savoureuses & l'omelette Soujouk.
The baklava pancakes were amazing. The service was awful. I ordered a coffee from 3 different employee, they still didn't bring the right one ? It was the smallest coffee & half of it was in the little plate underneath. They took forever to serve us as well, the good thing is that we were not in a rush. They messed up with our checks
Got the group menu: salmon gravlax, hummus, babaganouj, toast with labneh, potatoes, benedictine shawarma, shakshouka, waffle & fried taouk, crêpe baklava. Everything was visually stunning & tasted on point. Definitely go hungry because portions are generous!

The hype around this restaurant is real! I definitely think it's worth every penny. Not a cheap eat by all means, but absolutely worth the experience. I love the twist they put on Lebanese Classics, as well as their unique menu items. If I could recommend one thing, it is their baklava pancakes! I could not finish it if my life depended on it, but I am so glad I tried it. The staff was also attentive & present. I would definitely recommend this brunch spot to anyone looking for something new & unique!
Overall it is a great place but definitely overrated. I ordered a Shay chai & at first it tasted like a glass of milk. Definitely not worth $10. There was no shot of espresso, chai or caramel mouse as claimed on the menu but when I asked the server to add a bit more chai to it, they remade the drink for me without any issues or without me having to ask for a new drink. The food was delicious & not overly expensive for brunch. We had the Shawarma Benedict, soujouk omelette & the baklava pancakes. The shawarma benedict was amazing, highly recommend & the rest of the dishes were great too. We went on a Saturday at noon & the place is packed, a bit loud as it is anywhere for brunch. I enjoyed it but I've also been to other brunch places that have better coffee/drinks & delicious food!
Food was disappointing. The shawarma eggs Benedict was very bland & tasteless. & the baklava pancakes were dry & way too sweet. The cream that was on top has a strange pasty & gummy texture that was very unpleasant.
The food visually looks appealing but the taste & flavors are lacking. Was very disappointed as the menu for brunch was so innovative.

The portions are on the smaller side & I would not recommend the avocado toast (there wasn't much avocado on the bread) but otherwise their breakfast/brunch dishes are unique & flavorful! The best thing on their menu is the Baklava Pancakes, don't leave without trying them!
We had the gravlax appetizer, shakshouka & baklava pancakes. Amazing combination but... The gravlax appetizer was a bit underwhelming. The gravlax by itself was only ok. Very great texture but the seasoning & taste falls a bit flat. Caviar is only ok. I love pistachios & I get the use of pistachio to stay in theme with the restaurant's origin but they add too much crunch in your mouth instead of crispyness. Clunky in mouth. I would do without pistachio but agree with the idea of crispyness so would welcome an alternative. Albeit, the combination labneh, gravlax & cavior is good. It is a fresh app & very gentle for the palate in prep for what comes next. The shakshouka is amazing! After the gentleness of the gravlax, each bite of the shakahouka is like an atomic bomb of flavour in mouth. Super happy. Strong & bold. Spicy. You get the idea. The egg is perfect. Falls apart as soon as it touches the tonge. Delish. The baklava pancakes are ok but not sure where the baklava actually is besides being a garnish & topping? The pancakes are THICK-stick-to-your-palate kind of soft. So if you do not like that then be warned. For a fusion place like Shay I expected a bit more transformation to food (labneh infused with something? Baklava more than just a garnish?) but overall, a GOOD brunch place. I would go back for the shakshouka alone & the boozy coffees.
My friends & I went for brunch this morning & we booked in advance. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, & the food was tasty. However, the food arrived at the table cold & I asked the waitress to return all the meals & serve hot. We liked the food presentation, & we ordered Baklava Pancakes, & Shawarma & Eggs Benedict. Overall, I found the food tasty, delicious aside from the fact that The lamb in the Shawarma & Eggs benedict didn't smell good.
This is a great brunch spot! Probably the best brunch I’ve had in Montreal, the I think the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in my life.
- the Shawarma eggs Benedict is a MUST
- the Shakshouka is very very good & fresh & on the lighter side
- the hash (which is tater tot’s with an egg, sausage, & mint sauce) is very heavy. I’d say it’s more of a sharing dish.
- The baklava pancakes are honestly too sweet & the pancake texture isn’t amazing. We shared it 4 ways as a dessert.
- coffee is great
Service & cuisine excellent. Brunch famille & amie.
On était 4 personnes & on a commander 6 assiettes.
My friends & I reserved a late brunch this past Saturday & were greeted with a warm smile & welcome by Talia. She told me on arrival that she had noted my request to be seated away from the front door, & not close to any serving areas, & said that she had taken the liberty of reserving a lovely booth for us & pointed it out. We were ecstatic as the place was jumping & people were pouring in, & we were a few minutes early. Talia suggested we have a seat at the bar if we'd like a cocktail in the mean time, & we did so. Once at the bar we were told we would get an even better table, a boott at the front window which was just perfect! We even had a little heater blasting hot air as it was frigid still out. Later the manager, Olivier came over to check on us to see if we were happy with everything, the service, the table, the meals? Everything was just spot on! The meal (benedict with lamb & hollandaise) was superb, our drinks were frothy & strong & our dessert of Baklava Pancakes was to die for, ambience just warm without music blaring either, & they happened to play a favorite piece of music of mine :) I normally don't write reviews but everybody was so welcoming & the food well worth it that I couldn't resist. If you're an out of towner, this is just a treat to have such delicious & beautiful food served in your Montreal assiette! Enjoy. You must go, & reserve ahead!
Everything was amazing about this restaurant. From the service & friendly staff to the incredible brunch food. We ordered & shared the shishtaouk chicken & waffles as well as the baklava pancakes. The chicken was so moist, delicious & not greasy at all. The waffles were light & fluffy. The baklava pancakes were amazing also light & fluffy & that topping was super delicious. Fresh orange juice & mimosa rounded out our brunch. This is now one of my two favourite brunch places in the city. They have a lot of staff & they seamlessly work like a well oiled machine. Food is fast to come out even with a full dining room. & they never make you feel rushed. Also seating is done well so you never feel like you are squished in. We were very impressed & highly recommend this place. Make sure to have a reservation as they unfortunately had to decline walk ins.
