Shawarmaz is the first shawarma spot I tried in Canada & would make sure anyone visiting tries.

Whatsover after the war in Gaza I noticed they only provide boycott drinks expect the Ayran. The question is an ethical one. Yes you can provide great shawarma but how do you feel about selling coco cola which supplies free drinks on multiple occasions to the IDF soldiers that have been clearly committing a genocide for years now. (& every single other brand in their fridges). It's such a shame.
I hope they reconsider & choose alternatives that don't make customers feel like their money is supporting the murder of children.

This isn't your typical Middle Eastern style shawarma; it definitely has more of an Eastern twist to it. The shawarma is good, & I like that you can customize it exactly how you want. Surprisingly, the Philly cheesesteak from here is actually pretty good too! it is not something I would go & try again.

the seating inside. It's hard to sit comfortably because the tables are lined up right along the side where everyone stands to queue up & order.

Shawarmaz has honestly become a must-stop for me anytime I'm passing through Montreal on the way to Quebec City. At this point, I'll make a stop in Montreal specifically just to eat here.

Every visit reminds me why this place stands out. The quality of the ingredients, the attention to detail, & the flavor in everything they serve are consistently amazing. It's honestly impressive that even as the restaurant has expanded over the years, the quality has remained just as high.

The biggest highlights for me are definitely the shawarma baguette - which is incredibly hard to find in the Greater Toronto Area - & the shawarma poutine. The poutine is absolutely unreal: rich, cheesy, flavorful, & generously loaded with toppings. They definitely do not cheap out on ingredients here.

I also tried the flavored beef donair, which was delicious & packed with flavor. Everything tastes fresh, authentic, & made with care.

I'll definitely keep coming back for years to come, & I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Montreal just to visit Shawarmaz again. Huge fan of this place. Thanks to the entire team for the amazing food & consistently great experience!
