A lovely, cozy, hipster coffee spot - & not just coffee!
Great music, delicious coffee & pastries, friendly staff.
We stopped by one summer evening while in the area, & the wine with tapas was a really great experience.
I checked out a really interesting place-Shaughnessy Café at 1455 Rue Lambert-Closse, Montreal, Quebec H3H 1Z5!
This is a super cozy café, tucked away in the basement. It has lots of tables, & while it's not huge, it creates a really cool, productive vibe. It's popular with people who come to work, study, & just hang out.
As for the main event, the pastries here are absolutely top-notch! 🥐 They are always fresh & so delicious-you have to try them. The coffee is amazing: strong, aromatic, & perfectly roasted. It's the perfect boost of energy! ☕
The staff is super friendly & always happy to help. 😊
It's an excellent place that I happily recommend to everyone!

Nice, hip cafe. Ordered a decaf americano & it was very nice. Also a good place to work, read, met, whatever. The place is small but it feels cozy. A bit underground & they have indoor & small patio seating. They have wine nights in Fridays, except, literally the one Friday I wanted to take my friends to was closed. Very disappointing.
Cute little cafe. Coffee taste good, not over price. Cozy feeling. I ordered iced latte, not too much milk.
Just moved in the hood so went in to try their regular plain filter coffee. Vibes were very mile-end hipster, very cozy so 4 star for the ambiance though very very small. Service was good but $4 for a regular filter coffee that taste exactly like mcdonalds $1 promo coffee (mcdo is just 2 mins away). Weird that I had to ask for cream (usually many cafes have thermos of milk/cream at some corner) & the cashier just pour milk in my coffee even though I asked specifically for cream. NOT GOING BACK.
Apart from the spider web I was sitting next to, the place is super cozy & cute. I particularly like the big window lined up with plants. They also make the best chai latter I've ever had in MTL with the cute latte art at the top! Also, super convenient location & access through two doors one each side of the café.
Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, good varieties of pastries. Will come back again! :)
