If you're looking for a place in Montreal that truly lives up to its name, Shandaar Cuisine is it - shandaar meaning'magnificent' in Urdu, & that's exactly what this dining experience is.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm smiles & an inviting aroma of freshly cooked South Asian delicacies. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy & elegant, with soft lighting & tasteful décor that makes you feel right at home.
The food is nothing short of exceptional. Their Karahi bursts with rich, aromatic spices, the biryani is perfectly layered with tender meat & fragrant rice, & the doodh patti chai is the kind of comfort in a cup you'll crave long after you leave. The mango lassi is refreshingly smooth - a must-try for anyone visiting.
What truly sets Shandaar Cuisine apart is the attention to detail. Every dish feels like it's been prepared with love, & the staff go above & beyond to ensure you have a memorable experience.
Whether you're a fan of authentic desi flavors or just curious to explore them, Shandaar Cuisine is a gem that will leave your taste buds dancing & your heart full.
Great food, Great Atmosphere & the food was just great. Get the Chicken Tikka.
The food was so delicious & the service was really great . Thanks to Uzma !
I was trying a new place for my birthday, & I was surprised by the place.
The Best Best Best for :
Kababs & butter chicken, aalo tikki
What I liked :
It is Private & reserve
Meals were served warm & well seasoned with steam coming out.
The staff is not to overally friendly, they check on you randomly & came accross genuine.
I felt welcome.
The bill at the end , was less than we expected.
Nice place for birthday & date .
9/10 experience.
Could be better:
Wish the lighting was a bit brighter.
More juice option.
Music would have been addition
I don't understand how this restaurant is highly rated, we ordered butter chicken & naan, there was literally 5 pieces of small chicken thighs, not even brest, it's mostly the sauce, for the price we paid it's extremely disappointing... As for the naan it was half cooked, horrible, just waste of money & food... During Ramadan... One would argue because they were fasting & were tired by end of day, but the guy who gave us our order to pick-up was actually eating about 30 minutes before Maghrib, for a Halal restaurant this is kind of unprofessional!
The food & service provided by Mohammad Moosa were both excellent. Would not hesitate in recommending or going again. Chicken Handi is worth trying.
