We had a great experience at Shandar restaurant! We chose the Peshawari chicken karahi & it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, full of flavor, & perfectly spiced. The service was good & the atmosphere was warm & welcoming. I definitely recommend it, especially if you love rich & flavorful food!

I was actually craving a taste of home last night, & let me tell you, this place hit the spot in the best way possible.
Walking in, we were greeted with this amazing warmth. It wasn't just a'hello', it felt genuine. But the real star of the show was Miss Uzma. She has this way of making you feel like you're the most important person in the room. We were a little unsure about what to order, & she patiently walked us through the menu. You can tell she's not just doing a job. She checked on us throughout the meal, not in an intrusive way, but just to make sure we were loving it. She even remembered we'd asked for extra raita without us having to ask twice. That kind of care is rare.
Honestly, it was more than a dinner, it was an experience. Miss Uzma has built something special with her team, & their collective hospitality is just as memorable as the incredible food. If you're in Montreal & looking for not just a meal, but a taste of real Pakistani hospitality & flavor, this is 100% the spot.
Absolutely perfect restaurant!
Since we're in Montreal, Canada, we ordered Chicken Shandaar Karahi & it truly tasted like home-no extra oil, just authentic flavor. The chicken samosas are made in-house & were fresh & delicious. We also had naan, garlic naan, & Lahori channa-everything was cooked fresh & full of taste.
I've never had such a perfect desi meal in Montreal. The guy musa who served us really knows how to deal with customers-polite, professional, & very welcoming. The service was awesomeeeee.

We had a great experience at Shandar Karahi. We ordered white karahi, lamb biryani, & chicken tikka, & everything was delicious. The white karahi was rich & creamy, the lamb biryani was flavorful & perfectly cooked, & the chicken tikka was juicy & well seasoned. Portions were good & the food was served hot & fresh. Overall, very tasty food & worth visiting. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Pakistani/Indian cuisine! 😊

The food was amazing & service was outstanding.Honestly, the biryani was amazing full of flavor & perfectly cooked. The service was very friendly & again the food was definitely worth the wait. I'll be coming back for that biryani for sure!

Had a great experience at Shandaar restaurant in Montreal.
I ordered naan & barbecue seems kebabs -both were fresh, flavorful, & cooked to perfection. The barbecue had that authentic chargrilled taste you'd expect from a top-tier desi spot.
I also tried their Karahi, which was rich, well-spiced, & came out sizzling hot. Portions were generous & service was quick & friendly.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating a special anniversary at this outstanding Pakistani restaurant, & the experience exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, creating the perfect setting for a memorable night. But what truly stole the show was the phenomenal food. Each dish was a masterpiece of rich flavors, fragrant spices, & impeccable presentation.
We started with the Shandaar Lamb Agneau Karahi, a dish that lived up to its name-bold, flavorful, & cooked to perfection. The tender lamb pieces were immersed in a thick, aromatic gravy with just the right balance of spice, making every bite a delight.
Next came the Butter Chicken, a true classic, & this restaurant's version was nothing short of exceptional. The velvety, creamy tomato-based sauce had the perfect blend of sweetness & spice, coating succulent pieces of chicken that simply melted in the mouth.
The Lamb-Agneau Biryani was another highlight of the evening. Fragrant basmati rice, infused with saffron & spices, was layered with perfectly cooked lamb, resulting in a dish that was both flavorful & satisfying. The depth of the spices & the tender meat made it an absolute must-try.
To accompany these delicious mains, we enjoyed freshly baked Garlic-Ail Naan & Plain Naan-Naan, both of which were warm, soft, & perfectly charred. The garlic naan had just the right amount of garlicky richness, complementing the curries beautifully.
To round off this incredible feast, we ended with Kadak Chai, a robust, aromatic tea that provided the perfect finale to an already exquisite meal. The strong, well-spiced flavors were soothing & left us feeling completely satisfied.

The Karahi was equally impressive, served sizzling hot in a wok with a flavorful tomato-based gravy. The tender meat practically melted in my mouth, & their freshly baked, fluffy Naan was the ideal companion to soak up every last bit of that rich, spicy sauce. For dessert, I indulged in Gulab Jamun & Kulfi & both were a delightful way to end the meal. The gulab jamun, soft & soaked in fragrant syrup, offered a warm sweetness, while the kulfi, creamy & infused with subtle cardamom & pistachio notes, was the perfect cooling contrast. Together, they made for an unforgettable dessert experience. What truly elevated this experience was the incredible customer service. Atif was not just an excellent host but also genuinely cared about making sure every guest felt special. It's rare to see such dedication & warmth, & it made the meal even more enjoyable.
