My husband & I enjoyed our food. After speaking to the owner we developed an appreciation for the care that was put into creating the vegan recipes on the menu. Owner operated plus owner presence equaled a quality experience. Our host/server was the kindest person. We would return when in Montreal again.View more

I've been frequenting this restaurant since after covid. When I started going there I loved their falafel, but with time the quality & service went down. Here are a few issues : Usually they put 3 falafels in a sandwich, last time I went the lady only had 3 left cooked & I ordered 2 sandwiches so she made each sandwich with one & a half falafel, which to me is completely dishonest as I'm not paying for a lettuce sandwich. Secondly, their vegetables used to be fresh all the time, the last 3-4 times I went they weren't even close to being fresh. Lastly, I went 2 times where they were supposed to be open but they weren't. Also, you should be aware that their price of a falafel sandwich is overpriced. It didn't stop me in the past because the food was fresh & good, but now it's not worth it anymore. As a Lebanese-Syrian, Falafel is the street food & is the cheapest food to make, so if you want to price a falafel sandwich at 11-12$, it better be the best falafel there is, which is not the case anymore unfortunately.View more

Must-try vegan food in Montreal! my favorite is the African plate & the Shish-taouk. You can't go wrong with any of their mushroom based "meat" plates either. Fast, delicious, incredibly innovative in their recipes & ingredients! I've had vegan food in Philly, NYC, Portugal, & Toronto & haven't come across any store that matches Sham's quality, selection, & value. Their in store snacks & grocery selection is worth checking out too. Get a patio spot in the summer & you'll get a view of the sunset down the street as you eat 🫶🏻View more
