When my wife first came to Canada, I took her to Shalimar. I knew the service was exceptional, the selection at the buffet is simply delicious & the atmosphere is relaxing, perfect for a romantic getaway! I'd been there years ago - a buffet for my friend's birthday, & remembered it vividly. I'll admit I bit off more than I could chew on that date (vindaloo chicken is spicy & I wanted to impress my fiancée) but we still had a wonderful time. Yet it was coming back nearly every Wednesday or Thursday since our wedding to get some of the à la carte menu that we began truly appreciating this wonderful place. We learned from our server Tim - shoutout to Tim, you're awesome - that the kitchen is suited with a genuine tandoori oven & the recipes are family traditions, even homemade! You're not getting anymore authentic in the Eastern Townships. Is it a little pricey? Sure, a little bit, but for quality like this, I'm willing to pay through the nose! The food is succulent, their butter chicken being a personal favourite, with generous portions that leave you full & happy. The staff is pleasant & professional - thank you again Tim - & the restaurant is warm, inviting & relaxing! You'll find me & my wife in Shalimar as often as we can & we hope to see you there as well!
Excellent service with very friendly & deeply professional staff. Food is always amazing. While a touch pricey as compared to other places, the quality of the food & service are worth every cent. Try the samosas (veggie or meat), they're fantastic. Wednesdays & Thursdays are ideal days to visit. Other days are buffet, which is excellent also. However, if you want to experience the full menu, Wed & Thu are best!
Nourriture excellente, service professionnel. Buffet à volonté du samedi de qualité ( poulet au beurre & crevettes épicées à ne pas manquer !! ) merci au personnel pour cette belle soirée. Je recommande l'endroit à 100%

I personally love the buffet, worth the money! The guys of the week when the meals are a la carte I find it a bit pricy but it is very good Indian food 👌. Nice little place & the employees are very well chosen as they are very pleasant. It kinda feels like a mom & pop's restaurant & it's something that is going almost extinct nowadays.
Nous étions présents pour la formule buffet un samedi soir. Très gouteux, on voyage agréablement, très plaisant pour le palais mais sachez que certains plats peuvent être assez piquants. On va y retourner c'est certain.
We had a lovely buffet dinner at Shalimar - we didn't know they require a reservation, but got lucky that there was a small table free. The food was delicious, though I would've liked to see one more meat option, & if you go hungry & ready to eat more than one plate, it's a great value. Our waitress was lovely as well, & we really appreciated the service.
Très décevant. Stationnement sombre & glacé. Menu du soir, buffet obligé à 36$. Beaucoup trop cher & assez ordinaire. Va-&-vient constant à côté de la table. Très dérangeant. Vin au double de la SAQ. Aucune intimité. Salle de bain trop sombre. Dommage, mais terminé pour moi.
