As an Iranian, I can say that Persian dining has never been only about food. Our tradition of hospitality values the environment, the way guests are welcomed & treated, & the overall experience as much as what is on the plate.

The real quality of a restaurant also becomes clearer over time, once the excitement of opening has passed.

While some restaurants gradually lose their initial quality & attention, Shali has impressed us by maintaining & even improving its standards, from the quality & consistency of the food & atmosphere to the service, care, & positive attitude of its people.

I appreciate Shali's management for building such a dedicated team & creating such a welcoming experience. A special thank you to Samaneh, Asal, & Amin. Their warmth, attention, genuine hospitality, care, & always welcoming smiles have contributed to many enjoyable memories for us at this lovely restaurant.

I sincerely hope Shali continues on this path & keeps raising its standards. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. The pricing is quite reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients, the food, & the generous portions. Just remember to call ahead & reserve a table, as Shali already has plenty of fans, & showing up hungry with no table available may not be the best way to start the evening!

We luckily found this spot on our way back to Toronto. This was hands down one of the best Persian food spots I've tried across all of North America. It's a shame we don't live close by. Otherwise we would be here more often. We will definitely be stopping by here again in the future.

For anyone craving authentic Persian food, this is undoubtedly the place to go in the West Island. The place had an impressively elegant interior renovation recently, making it even more appealing for group dining & private celebrations.
We were a group of 12 adults last Thursday evening, half of us were first timers, & everyone gave it a two thumbs up 👍👍

Incredible Persian food in Montreal!
We came to Shali & everything was absolutely delicious. The Chenjeh kebab was so tender it literally melted in our mouths & the Barg was perfectly soft & juicy. The Kubideh was packed with flavor & even the burger we ordered on the side was surprisingly tasty. I regret not taking any photos because the irresistible smell of grilling kebabs made me dive right in, but the presentation was beautiful too. Every dish was seasoned just right & cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place for authentic, high-quality Persian cuisine ❤?we'll definitely be coming back!

One of the best Persian restaurants I've been to in Montreal! Everything was absolutely amazing - the food was fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented, & cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was full of authentic Persian flavors.

A special thank you to Samaneh, our waitress, who was incredibly kind, friendly, attentive, & professional. She made our experience even more enjoyable & took such great care of us throughout the evening.

The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was excellent, & the food was truly delicious. We had an amazing experience at Shali & will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! ❤?🇮🇷
