I landed in Montreal for work around 8pm & was searching for delicious & healthy options near the airport & found this gem! The kebab plates (both chicken & beef) are next level delicious & the best Persian food I've had to date. I ended up coming a second time on my way back to the airport & the tangy chicken kebab plate with rice & salad was amazing. Will be coming back on my next trip to Montreal!
If you have ever tried Persian restaurants & had Persian kebabs, I strongly recommend you to try Shali Restaurant.
Besides the high quality dishes, the portions are enormous & delicious. Also I can say that the prices are very reasonable.

This is a BYOB Persian restaurant that is run by a lovely couple that provides authentic Persian food with lots of heart n love, everything is well seasoned & definitely worth a visit
An amazing authentic & wonderful Persian restaurant on des Sources blvd ❤?❤? We made reservations for my mother's birthday & upon entering the venue saw many families & friends enjoying the food of the restaurant 😇😇 The staff was super welcoming & answered all our questions about the food ! We started with complimentary Barley soup which was incredibly tasty ❤?❤? For the main dishes we opted for the BBQ Flame-Cooked Meats as my mom had the Tender Barbecue Chicken Thighs while I had the Tangy Chicken kebab (breast) & each meal came with saffron rice & salad with the BBQ Tomato. Each bite was a gourmet's delight & super delicious & our full compliments to the chef 🙏🙏 For dessert we shared a Baklava & it was just as amazing ❤?❤? Cannot wait to come back with the entire family & friends to this 10/10 venue & try other items in its excellent menu 😇😇 MORE UPDATES: Went with my friends & had wonderful lentil soup followed by very tasty & delicious chicken dishes ❤?❤? For dessert we all had the saffron ice cream & it was heaven on earth 😇😇

They first served us a delicious barley soup. We then lovingly enjoyed The Warm eggplant Dish, followed by the main courses of Traditional Persian stews, & chicken breast with saffron rice & salad.
Looking forward to our next visit to Montreal so we can come back & enjoy more selections from this restaurant
I just finished eating here & was very impressed with the quality of the food! Fair prices for the incredible portions, good modern music, & the staff was quick & friendly. What more can you ask for when wanting authentic Persian food! 110% recommend.

The food at Shali Persian Restaurant is absolutely amazing-authentic flavors, beautifully prepared, & consistently delicious. What truly elevates the experience, however, is the service provided by Samaneh. She works tirelessly, always with a warm smile, & ensures that every guest feels welcome & cared for.
To be honest, the service quality depends entirely on her presence.
I sincerely hope the owners appreciate her value & reward her accordingly, because Samaneh is the heart of this restaurant.

Great little persian restaurant. They serve all authentic food. Their rice is always perfectly fluffy & their meat is cooked to perfection. I recommend it to anyone looking for authentic food in a cozy setting.
Unfortunately this Persian restaurant didn't live up to expectations. The service was borderline rude with waitresses in what looked to be bothered. Tahdig was soggy, soup was cheap lentil. The meat was very nice but as whole a poor experience. Do not recommend.
Such a lovely Persian restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food was fresh, flavorful, & truly yummy. What made the experience even better was the friendly & welcoming service. We'll definitely be back!

It was our first time there, & everything was excellent. The staff were very polite, friendly, & well-dressed. It was a cozy place for families, & they offered a variety of dishes, including Persian kebabs. Most of us ordered koobideh kebab, which was very soft & delicious. One of us ordered soltani kebab, & it was also incredibly tender. All the food was very tasty, but I didn't like the rice, & the tahdig (crispy rice) had become soft.
The waiter made an interesting suggestion: instead of a full portion of rice, she offered to serve half rice & half salad, which was a good idea. The soup was also very tasty. The prices were average - neither expensive nor cheap. There were enough parking spaces available. The restroom was clean. The dining area was also clean, the tables were tidy, & everything was neatly set.
I recommend that the restaurant owner provide napkins on the tables to make the setting a bit more elegant, & consider changing the rice. I strongly recommend visiting this place.
Amazing restaurant serving high quality authentic Persian food! The waitress was very friendly & provided excellent recommendations & fast service. The new Safran rice pudding (Sholeh Zard) is an excellent choice for dessert.
