Une soirée mémorable… malheureusement. Nous avons attendu près de 45 minutes, malgré une réservation pour 19h pour l'anniversaire de ma bestie. Ils nous ont offert des shots pour s'excuser, mais peu après, notre serveuse a fait éclater une carafe d'eau en verre sur la table. Il y avait des morceaux de verre partout : sur la table, la banquette, par terre… & surtout, de l'eau sur la robe de la birthday girl, sur l'invitée en face d'elle, & au sol.
La serveuse s'est excusée plusieurs fois - ça se voyait qu'elle se sentait vraiment mal, & bon, ça peut arriver. On a changé de section, puis on a commandé à manger. C'était bon, certains plats meilleurs que d'autres, mais rien d'exceptionnel. La taille des bols était énorme comparée à la quantité à l'intérieur. Le pain naan servi avec le poulet au beurre ressemblait plus à un pain pita épais.
Puis vient l'heure de l'addition : on s'attendait à ce que la serveuse applique au moins un petit rabais pour les filles qui ont été trempées, mais non, rien du tout. Honnêtement, si elle avait appliqué un rabais, offert un petit gâteau d'anniversaire ou même les drinks, ça aurait été vraiment apprécié. Mais non, rien. Le resto a un super beau décor, les drinks étaient bons, mais je suis très très déçue. J'aurais vraiment voulu laisser un bon tip ou un beau review. La birthday girl avait tellement hâte de nous faire découvrir cet endroit en plus …
Je comprends que tout le monde peut faire des erreurs & que ce n'était clairement pas intentionnel, & elle a bien fait de nous changer de section,c'est le minimum . Mais ne rien faire pour vraiment compenser, c'est juste inacceptable. Imagine que c'est ta fête, que tu te retrouves trempé·e, & qu'on ne t'offre même pas un petit sympathy cake. Quand tu vas au resto pour un événement spécial, tu t'attends à un minimum d'attention, le restaurant étais notifié que la réservation était faite pour un anniversaire en plus, c'est automatique d'habitude d'offrir un petit gâteau ou de quoi. Nous n'y retournerons plus.
I have heard good things about bistro Sesame. We were 2, reserved our time (recommended), were seated immediately. The wait staff was attentive & we received our food soon after pur order. We ordered the signature salad with different proteins. Fresh & tasty. Will return.
Service impec, ambiance, bonne bouffe, tout y était. Un BÉMOL cependant, le boeuf croustillant semblait fait avec de la viande hachée à l'intérieur. Ne recommande vraiment pas ce plat.
Serveurs & serveuses très gentils & efficaces. Bonne cuisine. Seul bémol : lenteur du service. Le resto & la terrasse étaient bondés, ce qui explique qu'il a fallu attendre 1h30 pour recevoir le plat principal, le manger très rapidement pour être à l'heure au spectacle. Réservation fortement recommandée.

SESAME was exactly what it said it was, an Asian fusion restaurant. I always wanted to try this place since it looked so chic on the outside. Walking into the restaurant, it was just that.
We ordered the salmon tartare for an appetizer, which was delicious & fresh. For main, I got the pad thai with tofu, & my partner got the orange chicken. I was craving Thai food earlier in the day, & this pad Thai was the best pad Thai I've had in a while.
It was so flavorful & had the right ratio of noodles to ingredients. I was stuffed by the time I finished, & I immediately recommended this place to someone who loves pad thai. The orange chicken, too, was so tender on the inside & so full of flavor on the outside. Paired with the rice & vegetables, it made a balanced meal.
Overall, I would come back for the pad thai. If I'm ever in the area craving Asian food again, I'm sure I'll be there.
Plats délicieux & cocktails originaux. Nous nous sommes régalés. Dommage que le restaurant ait commencé à préparer la fermeture alors que nous étions encore attablés. Sans avoir été poussés dehors, nous aurions aimé prolonger notre expérience. Nous reviendrons, certainement un peu plus tôt.
I had the Korean fried Chicken. it was like eating Frozen pre-cooked fried Chicken from Costco that was warmed to a dry consistency. Yum. I think the rest of the food at the table was taken out of bags & containers & heated up. Not delicious. So disappointed. All the girls like the sweet slushie drinks.
