The ambiance of the restaurant is great, food is also delicious & balanced. In my experience service was good, the server would come to us as ask us if everything was okay.
Service très lent, plat froid & trop coûteux pour la quantité : le 3/4 du repas étant du riz & à peine 50 gr de protéine Je suis très déçue Je ne retournerai pas à celui de Laval
Endroit magnifique où on est par contre un peu à l'étroit quand c'est salle comble! À peine 30 cm entre les tables: c'est ordinaire pour les clients & très difficile pour le service! La nourriture était un pur délice & les cocktails étaient originaux & très bons! Niveau service, c'est là que ça se gâche... Difficile d'avoir de l'eau, alors que c'est la base! Les entrées arrivent rapidement mais... Les assiettes vides demeurent plus de 15 minutes sur la table. Les plats principaux ont mis du temps à arriver &... aussi du temps à être débarrassés! Jamais on est venu nous voir pour savoir si c'était à notre goût. Heureusement, la nourriture était divine! Facture avec des erreurs à notre avantage, qu'on a fait corriger car on est honnête: la serveuse avait mis 2 cocktails & une boisson gazeuse sur la facture d'une table voisine. À noter aussi que le menu découverte n'était pas offert & qu'on nous a avisé d'entrée de jeu qu'il n'y avait pas de saumon. Un peu dommage.
Le 18 janvier, nous avons réservé une table dans ce restaurant pour célébrer un anniversaire. Nous avions informé la serveuse à notre arrivée de cette occasion spéciale & lui avions demandé de mettre une bougie sur le dessert pour que l'on puisse chanter « Joyeux anniversaire ». La serveuse nous avait assuré que cela serait fait, mais malheureusement, à l'arrivée du dessert, aucun geste n'a été effectué : ni bougie ni attention particulière. Lorsque nous avons exprimé notre déception, elle nous a simplement répondu qu'elle était occupée avec ses autres tables, ce qui n'a pas été satisfaisant. En outre, deux plats sur le menu n'étaient pas disponibles ce soir-là, ce qui a limité nos choix & a ajouté à la frustration de cette expérience. Dans l'ensemble, le service a été décevant & a gâché ce moment censé être festif. Nous attendions plus de considération & d'attention, surtout pour une occasion comme un anniversaire.
**Restaurant Review for Sesame** Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I typically don't write restaurant reviews, but my recent experience at Sesame compelled me to share my thoughts. While there were some positive aspects, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Let's start with the positives: the decor & ambiance were inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a meal. Additionally, the cocktails were enjoyable & well-crafted, setting a nice tone for the evening. However, things took a downturn once we placed our food orders. The service was noticeably slow, my entrée had been sitting in the kitchen for far too long before it finally arrived- obviously arriving cold. Fortunately, our waitress was accommodating & quickly replaced it for me. Unfortunately, the soup didn't impress, lacking the depth of flavor, as did the won-ton soup ordered by the others in the group. As for the other dishes, the pad Thai was quite basic & could use significant improvement. The dumplings were underwhelming, reminiscent of those found in the frozen section of the grocery store. On a brighter note, my husband ordered the General tao chicken & enjoyed it :) We decided to try the key lime pie for dessert, but it was lacking of the bright lime flavor one would expect. To add to the frustration, our waitress struggled to sort out the bills for our group, which took an astonishing 40 minutes. To make matters worse, one couple was overcharged, & there was no apology offered for the inconvenience. I had high hopes for Sesame, anticipating a delightful Asian dining experience. Unfortunately, it seems this restaurant has some significant areas to improve. Hopefully they can address these issues, as the potential is certainly there.
Bel endroit, bonne nourriture, mais pas un restaurant pour les gens pressé. Le service est extrêmement lent. Nous y étions pour le dîner, vers 13h, le restaurant était très calme, seulement quelques clients & pourtant nous avons dû attendre un bon 45 minutes avant même que nos entrées nous soit servi. Le personnel était gentil & aimable, mais pas très à l'écoute. Ils ont oublié nos breuvages & nous avons dû chercher à avoir leur attention pour avoir un peu d'eau. Expérience générale, plutôt ordinaire.
